For instance, whenever we see Craig and the gang in that future episode where the friend group has branched off to have their own other friends and relationships. At this time, if Jason is still in the scouts, he's a more advanced one. And since the Star Boy episode, I've had the hc that Sparkle is a military kid, hence all the moving around.

We know it's made it hard for her to find friends until she moved to the Creek, and we know Jason's folks leave him unattended a lot, so he gets lonely when his friends aren't around.

So, in my flash forward, I imagined that Craig is supposed to host Jason one night, or weekend whatever, and he has other plans come up. Yes, Jason knows his family and has become friendly with them, but as to not make him feel completely abandoned, Craig in some roundabout way asks Sparkle if Jason can crash at hers for a night or two.

She's the champion of friendship (and by this time a teenage DIY and beauty influencer), so she accepts, mainly because her parents have a guest room for when military friends and such come through to visit. So, Jason will be able to be in a room and bed to himself, but she has to do a recording and asks if he wants to come help her.

She does some DIY skincare with him, pulling his hair up into a tiny struggle ponytail, and telling her audience they're having a slumber party session.

She goes through the steps of this regime, demonstrating on him and also applying her own, while putting little quizzes and activities in between waits. And at the end tells them "Bye bye, it's bedtime," and signing off with whatever cute and quirky catchphrases she uses.

She stays awake to edit and Jason, not wanting to be alone in that big room hangs back and does some trivia and brain quizzes that she picked up for him before he arrived. They chat, both saying how they never really talked much or hung out but admired each other.

Sparkle first admitting that even though Jason didn't have many friends, the couple of friends she knew of seemed super loyal to him and she envied that a bit, as someone who didn't really have connections like that, except maybe Craig at some point and shoutout to the Ice Pop Trio.

Jason in turn admits that his friends, while accommodating, were more dedicated to their shared interests than him specifically and he held maybe too tight to that, but SHE was willing to befriend anyone and everyone immediately liked her. He'd given up trying to make friends because his attitude could be abrasive and isolating. Meanwhile, she had this channel where hundreds of commenters told her that they love her everyday.

In her mind, the fans love the idea of her character. A cute girl who cares about others and promotes positivity and picture perfectness. "None of those people even know me. They love a character that I created to feel less alone as I bounce around different cities, homes, and schools..." Jason is compelled by the sadness innher voice to look at her and sees her in a little daze where she breaks character. Then, she snaps out of it and cheerily says, "Lucky for me that we've been here a while!" Not adding on that she'd wasted a lot of time not building fully formed friendships because she worried that they would simply move one day and she might lose it all.

Jason opens up about how he and Craig became occasional sleepover buddies and confessed that tonight, he felt like the other shoe had fell and Craig was finally sick of letting him stay there, so he was glad that somebody like her accepted him being passed over to her.

She clarifies that Craig was extremely apologetic and deeply didn't want Jason to feel that way and the reason that he chose her was because he values Jason so much that he wanted him somewhere that he would still feel important.

He fell asleep in her room, so she took the guest bed. Her dad could probably carry Jason, and did offer, but she was still awake and decided to simply accommodate everyone.

Her parents really like him. (Many parents do, because he's so dutiful and respectful), but her parents like him even more because he has that air about him like their comrades and her dad loves how knowledgeable he is in his scout duties. He'd like for his daughter to be a little more serious about her hobbies and goals.

Jason backs her up, explaining that everyone knows she's the kindest kid in town and while her persona is maybe not as precise and proper as their military inklings, everything she does is pristine and precise, to an admirable level.

It helps her parents be a little more lenient about her passions for fashion, beauty and art. And Jason defaults not only to asking to crash at hers when possible, but following her page, taking tips for his often problematic skin, trying new ways to accessorize (as long as it doesn't go to far), and buying merch from her shop.

Sparkle enjoys that when she goes into rampant "her head is in space" modes, Jason is a down to Earth, stable resting place that she can ground herself enough to calm down. She doesn't really have a group of friends, as she bounces through other groups and is simply friendly with all of them, but she often attends their events, like Maya's sports competitions, and Craig's art shows. Jason is not that sociable, but starts to become her plus one, just so she doesn't have to be at these things and traveling home alone. Though he generally has brought some type of book with him or something related to his scouts business.

She's still a little bit clutzy and often finds herself actually being saved from falling by him, as he's a bit more quick on his feet and attentive to his surroundings. He helps her clean up her room and set things up for her recordings, and she attends all of his awards ceremonies and actually becomes the first person to ever record them. His friends and fellow scouts are jealous of him that he gets to be so close to a girl that cute, though he assures them that they aren't "like that" through tremendous blushing.

Her bubbly personality sometimes is grating to him and his intense methodology sometimes is exhausting to her. But, both of them feel a deep enough connection to each other that they desire to work through those times and try to figure out the best ways to continue their friendship while staying true to themselves. Many times, people presume if they have a disagreement or take a break from each other, Jason did something annoying or mean. Sparkle often needs to clarify that he isn't like that (with her, if nobody else), and sometimes, they simply clash, and sometimes, it is even her aloof way of handling things that he is stressed about that causes him pain.

But, they always find their way back to each other. Sometimes, bouncing the events off of Craig, as the person who knows each of them best, outside of each other. I think that Jason is probably more likely to be apologetic, thinking that things are worst than they are, and she quickly forgives and forgets, or takes responsibility when she feels it was actually her, this time.

Jason has a life plan, peace corps (whatever the cotc equivalent is), college, starting his own foundation for lonely kids to be both productive AND happy (not necessarilyin that order), and he wonders if Sparkle would be interested in coming along with him.

She has access to all of her friends, and her internet presence can be projected from anywhere. She actually would like to travel as an adult, and why not start out with a friend?
