anyway i know that a small extremely isolated new england island town that was first (to our knowledge) populated in the late 17th century by white settlers whose children born on the island can never leave lest they die upon going past the edge of the radius around the island would of course be mostly filled with white people. but i will say. people noting that the lack of people of color is definitely a choice aren't wrong. Especially since you bet bechir is going to take chelle off the island so they can have their child literally on the boat outside the island radius if they must so they're not stuck here forever. and after that they are going to pack up and never return. meaning the single two black people on this island are outta here and the cast will be even more mayonnaise than normal.
