followers who would be your pokemon partner… I don’t mean the pokemon you’d WANT to have I mean the pokemon you’d HAVE. I want to hear the same kind of activity level + safety + enrichment considerations you’d use if you were considering getting a particular breed of dog for example

I would personally be an office worker and have a fomantis that I had to order from a specialized breeder overseas… I paid so much for the egg shipping + live hatch insurance. she is such a picky little beast and I spent my entire paycheck for 6 months to build her a tropical hothouse for the required levels of humidity and temperature. I am on 13 different exotic plant pokemon forums where we talk about our fertilizer mixes and what we’ve been doing to maintain the coloration of our pokemon’s leaves. I am the pokemon equivalent of a serious aquarium hobbyist

I wish the Pokemon franchise spent more time showing disabled people with Pokemon. I think a service animal Pokemon would actually be an amazing thing.

It doesn’t even need to be big things either. I have Narcolepsy, and I think it would kick ass to have a Munchlax. I bet that little dude would be so excited to snuggle up and take a nap with me every time I have a sleep attack.

Mr mime could create ramps for wheelchairs if the place you need to access doesn't have one. It could also create temporary sitting places if someone with chronic fatigue needs to rest (though a snorlax would be more comfy)
