They don’t even do anything with him being Adrian’s brother, even though that is a perfect excuse to have him hunting Freeman (they disappear to Xen at the same time, meaning Mitch could have very easily assumed Gordon killed Adrian). But the game sidesteps that completely and give him no motivation at all besides the G-Man pressuring him to play a role in a (completely nonsensical) plan, all so the ‘Mitch and Adrian are related’ thing could be a super secret Easter egg plot twist that you can only find by dying on one specific level and getting one of two cutscenes. The writing in this game is truly a train wreck: terrible, yes, but you can’t look away.
