We think people who ponder or update their ideas in light of new discoveries weak. We say they waffle. We value bullheadedness and machismo. Where is that getting us?

So many levels of abstraction. Our labor and management structure is broken. Empower the people who do the work to do the work.

It's hard to feel like you make a difference in a large enterprise, or even whether you are supposed to be trying to.

Intrinsic rewards are a tough sell. Be good. Good luck.

Some people have good intentions when they apply for promotions. We vow to make changes to help out those at the bottom where we started. After a while of sitting at the top, we forget there is a bottom. #haiku
