Obviously any p*dos, z*os, and anything of the like are never allowed near this blog, and for a mix of personal reasons and safety for anyone interacting I'd greatly prefer that no radqueers, active gen AI users, or any syscourse blogs are brought here! This blog is a safe space for everyone and it'll remain that way. Regardless, I'm very happy to block any blogs I don't agree with or who are harmful

This could never happen because it would massively screw with the gameplay, but I really like the idea of the Z-A protag needing to actually take time to bond and earn the trust of the rogue megas they catch before they try to mega evolve them again. Scratching Absol on its favorite spot behind the horns and doing the same when it mega evolves to help ground it. Giving Dragonite Canari bread and fresh water as a treat to help it recover after a mega training session. Letting Darkrai watch battles from the sidelines for a year straight until it fully believes the MC when they claim that mega evolution isn't supposed to hurt. Do you see the vision
This!! Gods I really like this concept, and I will absolutely accept this into my headcanon from now on!
It's especially huge with Absol because we learn from their Ultra Sun dex entry that they dislike fighting and this other form of theirs, so having this pokemon that probably often avoids people when they aren't trying to warn against upcoming disasters decide that this human who saved them from unimaginable pain is their new friend and partner, trusting them to achieve the form they were just fighting against? I'm actually crying 😭

thought too hard about Zygarde in Legends ZA again and started losing it. like what do you mean it had so much faith in L's ability and willingness to change that it entrusted cell collection to him, knowing that Ange could go rogue with no one to stop it if L betrayed Zygarde or even just failed at his duty. what do you mean the post-"Lysandre seemingly dies" part of XY is full of NPCs both minor and major talking about how Lysandre could've done better, could've dreamed bigger, could've saved people instead of dividing and destroying them, could've set his ego aside — and then ZA revealed that Zygarde agreed with it all, and actually took those words into its own two paws, and proved that it wasn't too late. which is brilliantly assumption-defying characterization for a Legendary Pokémon previously described as merciless, AND. it's even a doggy playing fetch and going for walks with its human and its cells (its tuoys). no Legendary Pokémon will ever Legendary Pokémon like Zygarde does
they won't tell you this in therapy but sometimes the best way to stop catastrophizing/anxiety is to interrupt your spiraling with "girl what the hell are you talking about"

So I've been extremely fixated on an idea for a Pokemon oc, tldr a perfectworldshipping fankid who would be put through Legends ZA and I've been considering and reconsidering ideas for family beyond the two disaster dads(eg. I really like the headcanon of Drasna being Sycamore's mom but figuring out an entire family hurts my brain so I might go in a slightly less complicated direction) and while thinking about Legends ZA in general and with pride month coming up soon I felt like throwing what headcanons I have for some of the characters' identities! I don't have ideas for everyone but I have a few that I'm thinking about
Urbain/Taunie: This feels pretty on par with everyone else but I either see them as twins being trans in the opposite direction of each other or one genderfluid individual, usually leaning towards the latter
Lida: I feel like when I look at her I get the same vibes as my identity aka transfem sapphic! I've also considered her being pan too but more often than not I see her as being the same as me
Naveen: Definitely has the vibes of being transmasc and/or nonbinary, but oddly enough I feel like I'm the only person who looks at him and sees him as aroace? Maybe I just haven't analyzed him well enough and it's controversial but I generally do not see him being interested in anybody, with the occasional exception of either Urbain or a poly Team MZ situation and even then idk if it'd be entirely romantic on his end
Corbeau: Nonbinary pansexual. Idk if that's controversial either, and could see him either using he/they or just they/them but they're literally a walking nonbinary flag and if they do fuck I can't see him worrying about gender in the slightest
I also only see the whole group of Canari, Gwynn, Griselle, Jacinthe, and Lebanne as all being lesbians, Lebanne also definitely being transfem, but otherwise for the rest of the new characters I don't have any set headcanons for their identities yet! I still gotta get to know some of them. However, I will end this off with some headcanons for Sycamore and Lysandre since they've been on my brain for weeks now and I might as well put the thoughts out there now
Lysandre: To me he's either just a gay man or pansexual, and regardless is VERY confident in his identity. I don't know if he'd know or care for the exact label used but he's absolutely not straight
Sycamore: The definition of a disaster bisexual, like you would see this man's face in the dictionary next to the term if you searched it up! I've also liked the idea of him being transmasc largely off of vibes and I kinda like the idea of him especially as a confident trans man rediscovering the fairy type potentially through Sylveon and having one be his companion, although I've enjoyed many interpretations too! Definitely not straight, gender could be anything but I do like the idea of him being trans a lot
