Finished a baby blanket just in time!!
Pattern is a modified Celtic Garden Cable Blanket by Noelle Stiles and the yarn is Brava 500 in Hunter.
I DID FORGET ABOUT THE MARKING OF TIME UNTIL REMINDED JUST NOW
BUT INDID NOT HIT A DEER ON THE WAY HOME
FUCKING HUZZAH
SHOW ME YOUR MAKERY
First of two hats for the kids for Christmas. If I have time, I’ll add mittens. And if there’s enough yarn and time, maybe scarves/cowls.
Oh shit.
I think I tried to do that texture/colorswap combo once before! How are you carrying your second color?
Oh! The pattern alternates rows of sc with the diamond stitches and plain dc. So I just carry the diamond color under the sc and drop it for the dc rounds.
That’s the inside seam where I carry it up. Then when I get to the stitch right before a diamond, I switch the colors for the last loop.
The pattern I’m using is all done in one color, but someone else had posted a couple pics of theirs where they did it two toned like this. I was able to look at what the pattern said and zoom in on their pics to figure out what they did and copy it!
The pattern is this one.
This beanie will keep you warm and cozy this winter. I also describe how you can make a slouchy version of the beanie. With this pattern yo
Gift has been given, so I can post this now! I’m so happy with how it turned out! Bonus hats in the corner.
Oh, yeah. You wanted to see this blocked, @knottybliss!

I AM ON VACATION AND ALMOST POSTED THIS YESTERDAY
HOW SILLY THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN EVEN THOUGH TIME IS MADE UP AND SHARING IS FOR ALWAYS
NOW

Started a new blanket last night.
And! Finally done with this way overdue baby blanket except for weaving in the ends and blocking it!!!
The pattern for the first is the Celtic Garden Cable Blanket by Noelle Stiles.
The second is Melanie’s Mandala Baby Blanket by Melanie Grobler and I’ve been working on it all year. Also way overestimated the yarn needed because I wasn’t changing colors every round like the pattern calls for, so I have three and a half skeins left to make something else lol
Might have a new obsession soon. My mom gave me a bunch of my grandma’s old tatting stuff. Lots of wips that I don’t dare touch until I’ve gotten some good experience under my belt, but plenty of things I don’t mind messing up while I learn, too!
Finished these cuties just in time! Two dumpling kitties from ravelry user critterbeans pattern. Made in bamboo pop with a C hook in record time (for me)!
Good mornthing my darling thingmakers it is that day of days:
WIP WEDNESDAY
If the color on this one looks familiar, it is because I used up the rest of that cone I used on the last shawl…which now I think I’m remembering I bought to replicate that enormous circle shawl I had made for someone, so I might have to buy another cone. Oops.
Anyhoo, pattern is Fantasm by Cherie McEwen, available on Ravelry as a free pattern with three possible edges.
I haven’t picked an edge yet because I lost yarn chicken found reason to add in. A second color and am trying to decide number of repeats before edging for balance. So far it is a relatively easy pattern. The hardest part was determining which row the first repeat began on.
Rushing through making a couple dumpling kitties that I need done before Monday. Have all the little pieces made and one body. Started on the second a bit. Can’t find my safety eyes, so put in a rush order for more so I can finish in time.
All the pieces are done except the circles for the bases. Have to add the faces and put everything together before Monday, but I think that’s doable even with me being busy a lot with other stuff tomorrow.

Little snail friend I made for my friend @samethstarr a couple months ago.
Used the Crafty Intentions Small Snails pattern and somehow ended up much larger than expected. Came out great!
THE DAY!
Back on this after finishing the dreaded short rows! Just seven or eight more rounds and then it’s done!
Finished a Christmas present and even got it blocked in time! Pattern is the Edlothia Shawl.

Nanananananana baby hat!
I keep meaning to post some of my crochet projects on here and there’s no time like the present!
This is the portobello road shawl using sheepjes whirl in the minty black velvet colorway. It was a lot of fun, and really kept me on my toes to keep the stitch count right for the first couple repeats before I got really comfortable with the pattern.
