Miyuki Kazuya

Feeling her hand in his she smiled softly. His hand still had that roughness from back when they were younger. Resting her head on his shoulder she thought back to when they first got together. Her cheeks warmed up a bit before she gave a quiet giggle. Squeezing his hand back she shifted from resting her head on his shoulder. 

Aqua eyes looked around as she took in the view. Feeling his hand slip from hers so they could sit a small pout came to rest on her lips. Looking over at him from her side of the table she shoved her bag into the corner before glancing back at him. 

She looked at the menu as her ears perked up at the word burgers. Biting her lip lightly she gave a tiny nod. “That sounds amazing. Nei I’m glad I could be here with you.” Kanra chimed out as her cheeks turned a light shade of pink. “On the way here I was thinking about when we first got together. It was amazing. To think it was from us just kissing a lot.” 

A soft chuckle escaped her lips before she tucked some of her hair behind her ear. Taking her hat off she looked into his eyes. Resting her hand on the table she smiled softly. 

Miyuki was rather happy to be her with her in the moment. It was something he couldn’t just explain but seeing her across the way felt so right. He never wanted her to leave her again. He knew that but he had hoped she felt the same way.

As they finally got situated in their booth Miyuki smiles, happy that she did like his suggestion of getting burgers. When she says she glad she was here and how she was thinking of how they first got together his eyes widen a bit. Maybe she was thinking about them afterall. He chuckles. “I see. you were huh?” he teases playfully.

Miyuki notices her hand on the table and reaches for it with his own. He places his hand in hers and squeezes it gently. “I’m glad I’m here with you too, Kanra. Thank you for agreeing to have this date with me” he says quite happily. “I’ve been thinking about us too. You know. Kinda haven’t stop thinking about you since we...well broke up. And the truth is. I chose to be here at this school partly because of you. Of course I wanted a higher education but...I.. well. I missed you. A lot”.

Smiling back at Miyuki she shifted a bit. Kanra glanced to the side, catching his cheeks turning red. Fighting back a giggle she could feel her own cheeks warm up when he spoke. That smirk right there caused her heart to beat fast as she brought her free hand to her chest. Be still her heart.

Kanra gave a tiny nod when it was mentioned that they were almost there. “Ah I can’t say I have. Well I’m glad I get to go with you.” she chimed out as she giggled softly. “Can I hold your hand?” she asked softly. Her aqua eyes looked him up and down before she smiled softly.

She was glad that she could be by him like this again. Arching her brow a bit she listened to him talk about the diner they were going to. It sounded interesting. Lifting her free hand she twirled some of her hair around her finger before lightly biting her lip. 

Miyuki was quite content with having Kanra be next to him and hold onto his shirt. However he did miss the feel of her hand on his own. So when she decided to ask if it was okay if she could hold his hand he couldn’t help but be a bit happy and relieve. “Of course. I just wasn’t sure if it would be okay but I wanted to do this too” he says with a smile before taking her hand in his own.

This felt much better than just having her tug on his shirt. This made him have hope that they can reconnect and be together again. He was just glad that he could spend alone time with her. He really did miss her.

Smiling at her, Miyuki squeezes her hand gently. Soon they arrived at the diner and was greeted by a host who helped them seat them in a table. It wasn’t very crowded as it was still a bit early than the evening dinner rush hour so they were able to get seated quickly. Once seated Miyuki let’s go of Kanra’s hand before sitting himself one one end of a booth so she could sit across and face each other. They were handed both menus before the host left and told them a waiter will come to take their orders when they’re ready.

Kanra shifted her gaze to look at him before she pouted a bit. A small sigh escaped her lips as she accepted the fact she got caught. “How could I forget that. I went to basically all your games.” Feeling her cap get pulled up she glanced up at him before smiling at him softly.

Taking a few strides Kanra caught up with Miyuki before thinking a bit. She knew they weren’t together but craved the feeling of her hand in his. Lightly biting her lip she gently held onto the bottom of his shirt. The was the best she could do without feeling like she was crossing too many boundaries. 

Giving his shirt a small tug the brunette shifted a bit so she could look at him better. She wanted to ask him where he was taking her. “Nei Kazuya….I heard you missed a lot of catches today. I’m surprised you were off today. Were you looking somewhere you shouldn’t of?” she asked as she glanced at him with a knowing look.

Feeling a tug on his shirt he turns to see Kanra grab it. He smiles at her before looking forward to lead her in the direction of where they were going eat and catch up. He felt a bit weird having her hold her shirt but i guess he couldn’t do anything about it at the moment so instead he just allows her to do so.

Hearing her ask about how he missed a lot of catches he felt his cheeks redden in embarrassment. He chuckles nervously before looking over at her and smiling. “Well let’s just say I may have got distracted by something very attractive” he teases with a smirk before looking forward. Though he was still embarrassed, he still like to shift the embarrassment and tease her.

After practice Kanra took a quick shower as she thought about what her and Miyuki were going to do. Placing her hand on the necklace she smiled softly as she thought back to when they were younger. Moving her hand she got out of the shower, drying off. Getting dressed she put her uniform in her bag to wash later. Rubbing her nose a bit the brunette left the female locker room. 

Leaning on the wall she glanced off to the side. Tapping her right foot against the dirt she hummed softly. Closing her eyes she thought back to when they were still in high school. She could remember going to all his games, watching him go up to bat. He wasn’t the best but she still enjoyed it. “Neraiuchi~” she chimed out before opening her eyes and putting her hand to her lips.

Kanra couldn’t believe that slipped out. She could only hope that Miyuki didn’t hear her sing his walk up song from back then. A small noise escaped the brunette before she lifted her hand from her lips. Reaching up she felt her baseball cap. Pulling down on it a small groan left her. “Damn it all.” she muttered under her breath.

  Practice was rather hard today. Mainly because he kept getting easily distracted by his ex-girlfriend. They were on the same team now which was different. He never was on the same team as her before. And it was just so interesting to see her at practice. Sure he saw some of her games but this was practice. He saw her run and do things he did while he was in practice in high school. He just was so entranced by her, he even missed a few catches because he was so distracted.

   Once practice was over Miyuki quickly went into the locker room to shower and get changed. When he was done he packed up his things before walking out of the locker room. It was then he heard a familiar tune in a familiar voice. It wasn’t until he saw Kanra briefly put her hand on her lips before pulling her baseball cap down did he realize who sang the familiar tune. He chuckles as he approaches her. “ I see you haven’t forgotten my walk-up song?” he teases with  a smirk.

Kanra smiled softly as she listened to him talk. The closeness caused her to blush a bit before she gave a tiny pout as he pulled away a bit. Opening her eyes she looked up at him and blinked a bit. Getting something to eat with him and being able to catch up sounded like a good idea. Nodding slowly the brunette gave him a gentle smile. 

“Of course I’ll be free to do that. How could I miss the chance to basically go on a date with you.” she chimed out before giving a soft chuckle. Lightly biting her lip she wondered if it would be okay to give him a kiss. She wanted to do it but she was confused about their status. 

Her fingers reached up to her necklace as she played with it a bit out of habit. She realized that she was wearing a necklace she got from him and looked away from him.

  Miyuki was happy that she agreed but was a bit surprised when she suggested it being a date with him. However, he decided to play along. “Alright great. After practice let’s go on a date together” he says with a smirk.

  He had to say he was rather excited to talk to her again and tell her of his decision to go to college instead of going pro. He wanted to explain what made him change his choice. He also just wanted to know what happened with her after they mutually broke up. They lost contact and it might have been for the best at the time but still that didn’t mean he enjoyed it.

 Regardless this ‘date” was a chance for them to reconnect and he was ready to start over ( if anything) with her. He really did miss her so much. “We should probably head back to practice but I’ll meet you outside of the locker rooms after practice” he says with a smile before taking her hand and planting a gentle kiss on it.

  Miyuki was trying to explain something that happened at work to Kanra one day during lunch. “And this guy he to-” he starts to say before a finger was placed on his lips and Kanra says “you talk too much” before shutting Miyuki up with a sweet yet surprising kiss.

Reunited|| Miyuki & Kanra

Between Mei getting on her about her lack of sleep and the random text she had received from Miyuki days before the catcher was at a loss. She tried to focus on what the coach was saying as her arms were gently crossed over her body. Lightly biting her lip she looked to the side and blinked a bit. Arching her brow a bit she thought she saw her ex boyfriend. There was no way he’d be here. He was going pro right?

Once they were on break she sighed and ran her fingers though her hair. Feeling a tap on her shoulder the brunette looked up to see him. He was really there. Taking the bottle of water she teared up a bit. “Of course I did.” Using her free hand she wiped the tears that wanted to fall out.

Without a second thought Kanra stood up and wrapped her arms around Miyuki. Shoving her head into his chest she nuzzled him a bit. She didn’t want to cry in front of him but it was so hard. Kanra understood why they broke up but that didn’t stop the pain. “You’re actually here. It’s not a dream.” she muttered as she closed her eyes to take in his warmth.

   Miyuki was rather surprised at the sudden hug but he reciprocates the gesture and wraps his arms around her waist and pulls her closer. He smiles down at her as he held her. “Yeah, I’m really here. It’s not a dream” he says happily. He really was happy to be here. It was a hard decision to make whether to go pro or get a higher education but being here and being held by her confirmed that he had made the right choice. 

  He sighs happily before pulling away slightly.  He smiles at her sweetly. “I know you probably have a lot of questions but we don’t have all day to talk before break is over. So how about this, after practice we get something to eat and catch up? I mean if you’re busy or anything” he asks her. He didn’t want to intrude and he had no idea if she had other things to do but he wanted to catch up.

  Miyuki wasn’t one who for fashion not for a long shot. He really didn’t care what he wore as long as it was comfortable. Most days he just wore sweats or colored t-shirts with shorts that not always matched. The only real time he did match is when he was wearing his baseball uniform.

 Today wasn’t any better. He was wearing a white and blue hoodie with army green shorts. He didn’t care though. It was his day off and he decided to kick it with some classmates at the mall and maybe place some arcade games or see a movie. He didn’t care. He just wanted to relax and have fun. 

 Unfortunately while talking as he walked around the mall he accidentally knocks over someone’s drink as he accidentally runs into them. “Oh sorry. I wasn’t looking where I was going. I can buy you another one, my bad.”

  Though Miyuki’s position was a catcher, his batting skills were still pretty good. His coach knew that as well. Still that didn’t mean there weren’t great batters on his team. Miyuki is just sure that he was the better batter among all his teammates. 

  It was during a break at practice did Miyuki decide to approach one of his teammates who was alright in batting he guesses. “Hey Yata. You know if you start swinging left you can hit the ball more. Though I’m still the better batter” he states smugly.

   Miyuki thought long and hard before making this decision to actually not go pro just yet and actually pursue a higher education. He already knew which school to apply. He had only really one school he wanted to go to and that was Rockside University. Not only did he here it had great program for Physical Therapy but it was also the school that his former girlfriend is attending.

   The field was big and a lot of people were trying out for the team. This school was quite interesting as both genders played the sport together. He didn’t mind it. He was actually excited to play alongside his former girlfriend. He’s seen her play but never played with her. 

  While the coach explains the rules and safety and how many people will be able to be on the team, Miyuki looks over at the girls over the other side all huddled together and tries to spot his former girlfriend. His eyes widen a bit when he spots the girl. He couldn’t believe just how much she had changed over the summer. They had just broke up before the summer and didn’t see her much during the summer.

 He knew better to call her out so he waits till it was time for a break to talk to her. Miyuki walks over, taps her shoulder, hands her a water bottle and winks. “Miss me?”
