What sort of gun control would you like to see be put into place in America?
No guns.

I appreciate you asking me rational questions even though you obviously donât agree with me
I think my main problem, before anything else is discussed, is the fact that background checks get shouted down so quickly
I donât understand how a country seemingly so in love with imprisoning people hates the idea of not letting criminals have guns
I also reject the idea that most guns are bought on the black market, because if they are available without any checks then why would you try and get them illegally?
Fundamentally though, I donât understand what is wrong with wanting to refuse guns to people who will cause a lot of harm given the chance
Contrary to your assertion; Â Iâm actually fine with the utilization of background checks, as they currently exist (head-less, that is to say less-intrusive on personal privacy). To clarify, background checks are already Federal Law at all points of sale, all online purchases which are shipped, as well as at gun shows save for the sale between private owners.
The reason why private owners are not required to make a BGC, is because they legally canât. The background check system is closed to anyone but FFL (Federal Firearms License) holders, who, in places where private sales are banned, very often raise the price of said background checks sometimes as high as the actual asking price of the gun itself. Private sales, in this instance, are a safety valve which checks the possibility of a monopoly on buying and selling power. Additionally, without private sales, cities can (and in my home state, have) use other methods to push FFL holders out of business; creating a de-facto ban on the sale and purchase of firearms,r equiring people to drive tens, or sometimes hundreds of miles to be able to purchase a firearm.
The reality is, if you (or have been in the past) convicted of a violent felony, you lose your right to own firearms, as per Federal Law.Â
But we are getting off track. You stated, in your original response, âno guns.â Now, I (possibly wrongly) assumed you meant that you would prefer to see firearms totally banned. If that is the case, I reiterate my initial question; what lengths would you be willing to see taken to enforce this total gun ban?

But can I ask first before I answer your question, what is your response to a school shooting, or church massacre or whatever horrendous gun related crime occurs?Â
Because my gut reaction is âhow can that happen that needs to be stoppedâ but many Americans response is to reach for the second amendment wiping the victims blood off their gun barrels as they do
