Lets say you wanna put a divider between two groups , but alas simply plural is alphabetical . First , go to https://www.editpad.org/tool/invisible-character , and scroll down to the table. Find what's labelled as Zero-Width Space and copy it.(click on the brackets)

Go to the group you want to be at the top and paste the space before the words

There should be 1 more character than before. Take your divider, and paste two spaces before the words. Whatever you want below it, paste three spaces before the words. If you've done it correctly, it should look like this:

The next divider would have four spaces , then C with five , then the next divider with six , etc. Subfolders should have the same amount of spaces as the parent one (C has five, so any C subgroups would have five.)

2.2 : Adding pictures

Adding pictures is simple, but requires hotlinking. We have a private Tumblr account where we post pictures for the links, as even if you delete posts the picture is still hosted on the site, but I assume any file hosting site will do. I've seen others use catbox and file garden.

"What is hotlinking" you ask? Its just copying and linking the image address. If your on PC, right click ; for mobile, press and hold.

Now to put this image on simply plural, you need to format it like this:

Adding the "#10x10" just changes the dimensions, this is not needed unless you would like to resize the images and can be left out. This also works with gifs.

Why it's stupid, and useless, and y'all should STOP trying to bring it back

So, lace code. Every few months, it pokes its head up. "If you wear red/white laces you're a fascist"; "if you ladder lace bewear of lace code". Let's talk about it.

Lace code origins:

Lace code originated in skinhead culture. The skinheads originated in the late 60s/70s in working class England. As a subculture, it mixed mod and rude boys, with an anti-hippy stance. Both of these subcultures come from British people of colour, with mod related to R&B and rude boys linked to Jamaican youth. Yeah, skinheads came from black British culture, go figure. In the late 1970s, the subculture saw a resurgence, and that's where the racism and white supremacy crept in. Late 70s skinheads were more militant and more divorced from their origins, developing the Oi! genre and moving away from ska (which was a heavy influence of initial skinhead music). I assume it was at some point in this second wave, where skinheads became inherently political, that lace code evolved (though I'm struggling to find sources on this that aren't hearsay on social media). This was by skinheads, for skinheads. It allowed left wing skinheads to avoid the right wingers and vice versa. Skinheads at that point already had an aggressive and somewhat racist reputation, so lace code probably had very little spread outside of that specific subculture. None of the old punks I know in the UK (who were in the scene when skinheads developed like this) know what lace code is, I do not think this ever had the power the internet acts like it does.

Why I think it's stupid:

Lace code has always been regional, in a specific subculture. It has been used in leather culture too, as an alternative for hanky code, which resulted in some poor gay guy getting beat up at a metal gig just cause his laces said he was into bears. I haven't seen much talking about lace code in leather culture but I'm assuming this guy isn't nuts and it's a thing in his area. And anyway, they don't work. I mean a lotta fascists don't just like say that. They'll wear whatever makes you think you're safe. Skinhead culture as a whole was co-opted by racists to start with, the safe lace colours are not safe either!!

White laces mean white supremacy. They also mean unity and inclusivity. Red laces mean violent white supremacy. They also mean socialist, communist, or anarchist. Blue laces mean anti cop. They also mean nationalist. Some of these opposing meanings are from the same country.

Our society is too multicultural for this shit. What might signal you as anti racist in your country could get you welcomed by fascists in another. Hell, it might even vary by city.

Sure, I guess you can keep it in mind. But for fucks sake don't act like it's everything. If someone's a violent fascist there'll be more signs than whatever shoelaces they chose to put on their boots

Either way, I'll probably never ladder lace, so what does it matter

Maybe just don't attack someone on sight for having red or white ladder laces. After all, you could be attacking a pro-unity communist instead of a white supremacist nazi. There'll be other dogwhistles. Some people don't know how to lace their shoes any other way, anyway, they might not even be punk
