You can really feel Ryukishi get his footing as he writes, because in the first arc she is TOTALLY lacking in her characteristic emotional intelligence and she's written as hopelessly love-struck, whereas in other arcs she has such a more mature attitude about her crush, Anyway, thank you to Ryukishi for doubling back on her and giving us the best character in Higurashi
