Magical Vintage Harry Potter Book Covers By Olly Moss
Miss you, mate.
The study comes as Californians wrestle with how to care for their lawns in the midst of a four-year drought.
It’s fucking disgusting that people are starving, and people could literally just be growing their own food with land they have near them instead of fucking growing grass.Â
like yeah i know we overproduce food, but that shit costs something and it costs something to transport too, growing food and saving the seeds could be far more economical for some people and lmao … yet it’s more socially acceptable to grow grass a useless fucking crop that does fuckall for you other than eat up water.
People will literally be fined in the usa, or given legal charges where they will face jail time if they try to grow something in their yards that isn’t grass. This is so fucking disgusting to me.
NOTWITHSTANDING THE FACT THAT PEOPLE ARE GOING WITHOUT WATER WHILE LAWNS ARE GREEN AND LUSH.Â
I watch in silence as all local businesses in the area turn on their sprinklers for strips of grass about 2′ wide by 10′ long next to the road. The sprinklers are aimed for width not length, so they usually overshoot the grass and throw water directly into the road.
I watch and I silently seethe.
not to mention the stress it puts on familys, oh your lawn mower breaks down? too bad, you’ll end up getting photos of your own home sent to you in the mail, threatening you with fines.  Â
lawns are also a major contributor in habitat loss for pollinators.
other than growing an edible lawn or planting crops, the easiest way to reverse this horrendous lawn culture is to gradually dig up sections of the lawn and either;
1. Let nature grow what it wants there
2. Plant native wildflowers in replacement of the lawn
a diverse and wild garden is a major help to giving native pollinators back their homes and food.

There are no evil spirits, there is light and dark in them all.
About a year ago, I tried referencing a cap from “The Southern Lights” episode and came up with this. Since then, I’ve always had an urge to try it again - so last night I decided to do just that as a bit of a cool-down from all the drawing studies I’ve done this week. It took some time, but it was very fun to do! (and the results weren’t too shabby!) :PÂ
ETA: I’ve had a few people contact me today asking if this was available as a print, so I’ve set up one over at society6!
