The New York Daily News couldn’t change its attitude fast enough when it became public knowledge that their “thug” was actually an off-duty cop.
Note the change to passive voice, as well as the sudden appearance of the word “allegedly.”
Some men won’t use emojis because they consider it feminine like could you imagine wanting to hold on to masculinity so desperately
In high school one of my guy friends said, “I wish I were a girl so I could use an umbrella.”

As a 4 year old, this was the funniest thing I’d ever seen. I think I talked about it for days.
This is still funny to me.
lol he just left
you know you're a 90s kid when your vaccinations were mandatory and no one in your class got measles
i need men’s rights because i’ve been walking in a small circle for years. i can only do men’s lefts. i am very hungry. women laugh at me
Honestly, if you think that shit is funny, please reconsider? Some people are genuinely gullible, some people are unaware that shit like this is dangerous, because no one taught them it was, and that’s not their fault. And certainly no one deserves to die because they’re gullible or uneducated. Don’t give me that ‘natural selection!!1! lol’ bullshit. No one. Deserves. to DIE. for being. Gullible. or. Undeducated.
I know you think it’s just a joke, but some people will genuinely see this and believe you and they might die. Stop spreading misinformation just because you assume everyone knows.
Also don’t put metal in power outlets, you can get electrocuted.
There is a mountain of documentation from law enforcement agencies admitting to all sorts of horrible tactics, including death threats, rape and murder. It is not hard to find examples of them encouraging suggestible people to create devices that will kill people–they admit it to the media and in court. And yet real evidence of undercovers in a crowd instigating uniformed police responses always seems thin to nonexistent. It is more often a convenient story told by liberals who want to isolate themselves from people being “too radical,” alleging that cops trying to destroy their peaceful protest.

By the end of July 1791 the blacks in and around Le Cap were ready and waiting. The plan was conceived on a massive scale and they aimed at exterminating the whites and taking the colony for themselves. There were perhaps 12,000 slaves in Le Cap, 6,000 of them men. One night the slaves in the suburbs and outskirts of Le Cap were to fire the plantations. At this signal the slaves in the town would massacre the whites and the slaves on the plain would complete the destruction. They had travelled a long, long way since the grandiose poisoning schemes of Mackandal. The plan did not succeed in its entirety. But it nearly did, and the scope and organisation of this revolt shows Boukman to be the first of that line of great leaders whom the slaves were to throw up in such profusion and rapidity during the years which followed. That so vast a conspiracy was not discovered until it had actually broken out is a testimony to their solidarity.

Theses on Identity Politics
Identity Politics are always based on flattening out experience, making the critique of society abstract rather than lived.
Identity Politics promote cross-class alliances, thus offering those with more power (and thus an interest in the proliferation of class society) to silence the most marginalized within these alliances.
Identity Politics are rooted in the ideology of victimization, and thus celebrate and come to enforce norms surrounding what activity people are allowed or able to participate in. This plays out by reinforcing certain mythologies about struggle (i.e. “only cis-white-men participate in black blocs or “oppressed people are incapable of certain strategies of revolt”).
Identity Politics are always based on the fallacy of coherent communities. Some French people once said that “there are greater ethical differences within communities than between them.” That is to say that those trapped within certain “communities” or identity confines often have less in common with one another than they do with those who they are purported to be opposed to. This fallacy thrives on abstraction of experience rather than analysis of lived experience itself. A queer in prison has more in common with their straight cellmate than with some scumbag gay senator, and yet the mythology of the “queer community” serves to suffocate enemies of society and subjugate them to their self-appointed representatives.
Identity Politics are fundamentally reformist and seek to find a more favorable relationship between different subject positions rather than to abolish the structures that produce those positions from the beginning. Identity politicians oppose “classism” while being content to leave class society intact. Any resistance to society must foreground the destruction of the subjectifying processes that reproduce society daily, and must destroy the institutions and practices that racialize and engender bodies within the social order.
Identity Politics are deployed by, inherently refer to, always valorize and are in and of themselves the State.

Batman is pro-capitalist and pro-prison industrial complex propaganda and is therefore the true villain of Gotham. I will fight you.
Watch: This neuroscientist destroyed the biggest myths about the war on drugs
Ain’t no one gonna listen to him tho, cause he’s not Bill nye :|

It’s mic dot com reposting a TED talk tho. Mic dot com is huge in the English-speaking North American progressive sphere. TED is literally a conference for progressives with $60K to blow on feeling good about themselves. People clearly are listening (although the people at TED are usually more interested in listening and then not doing much about it).
The issues are the propaganda for the drug war absolutely surrounds us, sustains the prison-industrial complex which funds the US government, and legitimizes police militarization there and elsewhere. It’s rooted in a deep, old racism and hatred for the working class, and part of deep issues in American and western culture, as well as western imperialism.
It’s common sense that people should not be prosecuted for using drugs and distributing drugs. Paternalistic law is bullshit, and the data shows it. Common sense isn’t what’s stopping it, it’s fearmongering and doublethink. Prof. Hart briefly hinted at it, but definitely did not come down hard enough. It wasn’t starry-eyed naïveté that created the war on drugs so much as a tactic of lying to people to obtain and reinforce power (pretty sure there’s something obtained under the FoIA about it but I need to look).
The one issue I have is decriminalization is inadequate, and both release into the free market and nationalization will incentivize exploitation. Legalization would just be that, only more limited, but less able to be distributed. Collectivization solves those problems though.
So collectivize the production and sale of drugs and while we’re at it, free and pardon anyone imprisoned for the sale and purchase of drugs.

Workers, make no mistake-this is all-out war, a war between parasites and workers, exploiters and producers. If you are tired of vegetating in ignorance and poverty; if you want your children to grow up to enjoy the fruits of their labor rather than be some sort of animal reared for the factory or the battlefield, increasing some exploiter’s fortune by the sweat of their brow or shedding their blood for a tyrant; if you no longer want your daughters, whom you cannot raise and care for as you wish, to be instruments of pleasure for the aristocracy of money; if you no longer want poverty and debauchery to drive men into the police force and women into prostitution; finally if you want justice to reign, workers use your intelligence, arise! Let your strong hands crush the loathsome forces of reaction!
Paris Communards, “Declaration by the Central Committee of the National Guard” 1871.
I never get tired of this quote
