Otohan was such a great character.

Honestly, I'm kind of bummed that we're not going to get more of her because I would've loved to have delved more deeply into who she was. Maybe in a future book installment.

One thing that I think Matt did so well with Otohan was instilling so much fear within his players towards her. I've never really seen the group become as fearful when facing down one enemy as they did with Otohan. There's definitely been enemies that they've been really nervous going up against, but a lot of the times they were still confident in their stance to stay and fight. But with Otohan there was a moment (for both of their encounters with her) where nerves got the better of them and they ended up trying to flee.

That's not to say that fleeing wasn't a valid choice in those moments. It definitely was. But it was just intriguing to watch the fear creep into all of them the longer the fight went on and how much they genuinely seemed nervous to face her. Hell, even as an audience member I was so scared whenever she made an appearance! Literally every single time she was mentioned to be in the same area I always was like, "Fuuuck!" and would instantly get nervous. I can't think of the last time an enemy has made me that worried for the party just by announcing their presence. It was wild how powerful and terrifying she was but it made her such an enthralling character because of it. She felt like the Dark Souls boss of the campagin and has become one of my favorite villains we've encountered to date.
