Compendium Maleficarum

Laura Willowes, dubbed Aunt Lolly by her family, is the titular protagonist of Sylvia Townsend Warner's Lolly Willowes. After years of being patronised by her relatives, she escapes for the country, a village of Great Mop in the Chiltern Hills, where she discovers her true calling as a witch.

There, upon encountering the Devil, she makes a compact with Him. She is thus presented a familiar in the form of a kitten, which she names Vinegar. Soon after, too, she is introduced into the folds of a local coven.

Some of the family, particularily her nephew Titus, follow in suit of their Aunt Lolly. To protect her peace, she makes use of her familiar and sends Vinegar after Titus. The impish feline causes the young man a great deal of trouble and bad luck, but it is only after Satan's interference that the youth returns to town.

The Lady of the Green Kirtle, also known as the Green Witch and the Queen of Underland, is the shapeshifting antagonist of The Silver Chair by C.S. Lewis. Supposedly, one of the ill-famed Northern witches, she kidnaps Prince Rilian and keeps him under a mind-controlling enchantment in an attempt to invade Narnia from under the ground and use the prince as a puppet, and in this way rule through him.

She is a mistress of compulsion and confusion. Her very voice has the power to influence and dull the minds of her victims, so that they do her bidding. These powers, she is able to augment with the aid of her enchanted mandolin and the green powder that thrown on the hot embers of a fireplace emitts a sweet-smelling smoke. The enchantment placed on Prince Rilian, she reinforces with the use of yet another enchanted object, the titular silver chair.

The Three Witches, also known as the Weird Sisters, are the soothsayers who predict Macbeth's succession to the crown of Scotland in William Shakespeare's The Tragedy of Macbeth. Their forecasts influence the Thane's actions throughout the play and, eventually, lead him to his undoing.

They work their craft under Hecate's direction, though, when meddling with Macbeth's fate, initially without her knowledge or consent. They're capable of conjuring apparitions, as they do at Macbeth´s behest. They also claim to hold power over the winds and be able to call on them.
