This is another one of those reminders to really watch what you say online and what you tag kids in!

It was brought to my attention by a mom of a young dancer that fan pages have starting tagging and messaging this dancer regarding TDA predictions and offering unsolicited advice as to which TDA they should do as they probably wouldn’t stand a chance in one city or the other. 

The mom does run the account but relayed to me that her daughter had even seen some of these messages.

These type of messages have no purpose and completely cross a line. imagine reading some of these things when you were in elementary school. Could be a total self esteem killer. 

Now I know that it likely doesn’t come from a malicious place and that its probably the fan pages that are kids themselves, but just another reminder to really think about what you are putting out there and that these dancers are real people with real feelings. 

TAKEAWAY: There should never be a reason to tag or message a dancer in your predictions and there is NO reason to ever put something negative in a prediction post. Nor do dance moms need unsolicited advice about their kids!
