Do you know why teens are competing after closing show this weekend at Pressplay?

Because there isn’t enough time for them to perform before the closing show while we have the venue access.

Some may complain they are performing after the show. However many more studios complained when the event was sold out and their kids couldn’t get in. So if they want to compete this is the only time.

It’s about balancing entry limits but also trying to allow more studios into the event. Interest in the events FAR exceeded expectations and the size of venues able to be booked months ago before any income was coming in. Finding a happy medium in these schedules!

Many are looking at it from a current perspective which makes sense as a fan, but also try to see it from a perspective of the business having to guess and book venues months before dates were announced! If that makes sense.

Press Play is already a joke. It’s been a week and a half and still have not received my daughter’s feedback, judging critiques, or score. I’m almost certain they lost all of them entirely and then scrambled to picking the overall results order based on names. Why else would we still not have our scores!

yikes, if this is true i would reccomend having your studio reach out to the competition. i did see that they are having teen solos this weekend after the closing show

Hey! This is totally false! All critiques are fully accounted for (they are audio based of the judge's talking about each routine so there is no way to fake that). Rest assured they are there (I've heard some myself) Hitchkick is a brand new software created by Press Play so it is just taking a little longer than we thought to get it all uploaded correctly, with judge's audio tracks routed correctly. (we could only test things out to a certain extent before the first event) Should be up this week and continue to get quicker as the season goes on!
