I used to be in a discord channel with several of the "older" people on dance tumblr in like 2017-2020 where they would just shit talk other users and organize attacks on them. Then every now and then they would turn on someone in the group, make a new chat with out them, and coordinate their exclusion and start posting things and fabricating drama to try to turn the tumblr user base against them. It was called "the bunker". I know that russian girl on here eventually came out in support of Putin and said some horrible things about Ukraine that I don't endorse, but PRIOR to any of that coming out, the bunker coordinated this insane, systematic attack against, just bullying and harassing her and tried to get her to delete her blog. They did it to a few others to. Thankfully I don't think most, if any, of those people are still on here.
oh I’m well aware of the bunker.. i’ve heard stories from survivors. whats crazy is that some of those accounts would be in my dms asking for tea and then a week later join in on the hate train!!
the worst part is if you weren’t aware of some dancer from the middle of nowhere who competed her solo once every 5 years at the most obscure competition in northern america then you would get made fun of.. maturing is realising that it is okay to follow dance without knowing the name, age, studio, choreographer, life story, instagram handle, tragic backstory and pets name of every single dancer that attends NYCDA nationals!
