welcome to my little 2026 side project! the name of the blog probably gives it away, but i'm going to try to listen to an album a day. i got the idea to fully commit to this when i went to a record store in brooklyn a few weeks ago and i didn't recognize 90% of the music there. it really made me realize how much music is out there, and while i find the idea overwhelming i also find it very exciting!
my main is @ghoulia8clem, and this is purely for my logging and reviewing purposes. i don't think this will reach many people, but if it does please feel free to send album suggestions to my main blog!
for the albums, my way of finding ones to listen to are very loose. i already have a list started, but i'll either be using the list, recommendations from others, or from just poking around playlists.
i like to think of myself as having a diverse taste of music from different genres and time periods, but right now i have been very into different waves of the emo genre, so if you notice a theme that's probably why LOL. but i will try to keep things different and interesting and not get stuck in one genre for too long! (and plus, i've got 365 days of album exploring, too) i also want to use the site every noise ever to find some real wildcard genres to spice things up.
since this is a daily thing, i will try to be consistent, but i can't promise that i won't miss a day! but right now, my plan is to make up the days i missed. in the end, i'm just doing this for fun.
as for ranking/writing about albums, that's tbd. my plan now is to log the album and its corresponding genres, and write my thoughts on it if i want to. sometimes i just can't think of anything to say Β―\_(γ)_/Β―
anyways, i'm excited to get this started and to listen to some good stuff :D
