one of my favorite things to do as someone who identifies as straight edge (personal choice to abstain from alcohol and drugs) is to call myself an edger. in the paraphrased words of ian mackaye: i've got the edge! all i do is STRAIGHT EDGE. i edge all day every day baby. even better, i'm XXX (another symbol associated with straight edge culture). XXX and edging baby! no i can't have that beer, i'm literally edging. XXX till i die!
