never let your loneliness drive you back to toxic people

There is literally nothing in nature that blooms all year long, so do not expect yourself to do so.

I needed this so much.

You’re quiet. I’m awkward. So I fill the silence with small talk. I start to worry you’ll notice how none of my sentences are coherent or how I trip a little when I walk because I’m nervous I ask you what your favorite color is. I’m really asking: “what do you think of me? do I consume your thoughts entirely like you do mine? do you dream of me? do you know how rare this infatuation is for me? do you know I would give you the world? You say you don’t have a favorite color. You took it literally, perhaps. But I have my answer. I’m quiet now too.
