Trigger Warning: Pedophilia and Sexually Graphic Descriptions of Minors

It’s come to my attention that a very involved member of the owl house community is sexually attracted to the minor owl house characters and potentially to minors themselves. Though I am not the person who found the evidence, I have volunteered to compile it and put it out for the community to see and to use as a warning about this person just in case he tries to enter the community again.

I have included the photographic proof under a readmore with a warning. However, I have summarized the contents of that proof within this post so the trigger content itself doesn’t need to be seen to understand this post.

Yesterday, October 11, 2021, a little after 1:00pm, TwoPercentMalk posted a harmless shipping-centered answer for a curiouscat on his twitter account. Curiouscat is an app and website, that acts as a question hub, where users can submit questions for a specific user to answer. The username on his curious cat was “boybosom”. When the curiouscat link was clicked on, it led to his curiouscat page containing past answers to questions under this account that could be publicly viewed. Past answers included TwoPercentMalk answering explicit and graphic questions about minor owl house characters with his own explicit and graphic answers. These answered included both explicit acts that he would do to a minor character and explicit acts that minor characters would do to each other. Two of the questions were as recent as 16 and 21 hours at the time that the curiouscat was accessed. He also admitted on a post from 15 days that he was “irreparably horny for minor characters”.

When the screenshots were shown to TwoPercentMalk via discord (@/TwoPercentMalk#5115) and he was asked for an explanation, no answer was received. However, his twitter (@/MalkTwo) and instagram (@/2pmalk) accounts became deactivated.

Malk is an 18 year old adult who has openly admitted on a public account that he is sexually attracted to minor characters. He has since vacated his accounts and his ao3 account remains open (users/TwoPercentMalk). Though I’m sure this will also be removed soon. Please be safe and aware that this person is within the owl house fandom and may try to infiltrate other fandoms and under different aliases. This kind of behavior is unacceptable and creating a harmful environment for the minors who are in the fandom itself. I understand that this content is about fictional characters but fiction is a window to reality. Many predators will use fiction to groom minors into trusting them and then manipulate and exploit them based on media that they enjoy.

And as we all know, the owl house fandom includes a large amount of minors within it and the show has a mostly minor aged cast. It’s the responsibility of the adults in the community to be alert and do their best to protect minors in the community from adults with bad intentions. It’s also important for minors to protect themselves so they are not manipulated or harmed by adults. So I do just want to give a few tips to minors and adults respectively on how to prevent and notice situations like this to flourish and harm people when they come about:

For minors - don’t post your age online. Don’t even indicate that you are a minor or you’re going to become a target. Make up a name to use online or don’t reveal your name at all. Don’t reveal your location to strangers on the internet. Many predators will disguise themselves as teenagers or preteens to gain a minor’s trust and then start to manipulate and exploit them by getting this type of information out of them. Don’t give out your information to gain followers just because you trust that the people you’re giving information to are your friends and peers. Don’t tell the internet about your personal issues as it can be a target for predators to use. And, especially, don’t tell the internet about your sexual wants and needs because this is how you can get targeted as well by predators and predators pretending to be minors.  They may also try to talk to minors about sexual things to make them feel safe about sex with that person and trust them which leads down the road to being groomed. Please protect yourself and be very cautious.

For adults - These people tend to have a wide net of online friendships and friend groups. They tend to be funny, lively people who are always interested in joining group activities and streams and just making sure they’re seen as a fun and harmless person to hang out with. This is to integrate themselves in a support system that will defend them if their secret ever comes out. If you’ve known them for quite awhile, you’ll realize that you don’t know much about their family or social life or really much about their life outside of the internet or fandom. They tend to keep a lot of aspects of their life secretive because it could reveal who they are. They might also not be willing to share their first name, that isn’t an alias, for fear of being found. They also seem to be hiding under a “layer” of some sort and may not respond to conversations regarding this topic. This isn’t a complete list, nor will it help you catch others 100% of the time, but it is more of a reminder that predators can and will look like very harmless individuals. The best action you can do is rid them from the community once you are aware that they are within your community.

I'm doing this because recently I received a message from someone who told me people on twitter are trying to start a discourse on minor stuff i did a year ago. (if you wanna know the full story, read below and I'll cover everything)

don't get me wrong I love the owl house and I'll continue to watch it, but I don't think I'll be mentally able to continue drawing more art for it because of how bad this entire mess damaged my mental health before.

I also haven't made much art on it and my motivation for drawing has also declined a bit. I figured it would be best to focus on other stuff that I enjoy drawing and stuff I have motivation for. Anyways

so last year in October-November, I came across a few TOH artists like me. I noticed a twitter post for one of them starting a discord server for "those that have been cancelled" Then 16 year old me was like "this has happened to me before, imma ask for an invitation to join and support these people who went through the same thing i did" that was how it all started

(also before that i was accused of minor issues but it mainly stayed on instagram)

*minor issues: genderbending, Swap AU

(there were some artists on there who did more extreme stuff but have already stopped before I knew. Also I was born in 2004, so i grew up in the time when Genderbending was normal so i didn't think much of it and got surprised when i realised it's considered a bad thing)

then slowly, many twitter accounts found me and the stuff I drew and started making threads about me and pointing about my flaws. While that was going on i got to know the people in the discord group, and the thing is, many of them have already stopped drawing stuff they've been called out for, and some of them had no idea why the stuff they drew were bad (but eventually they understood why) which confuses me why they're still getting all this hate when some of them had no idea/have understood,grew and stopped. (but hey this is the internet no duh who's going to care anyway)

so a lot of this built up and i felt like i should do something so i made a poorly explained video explaining why this was wrong. Of course it wasn't well received. I've also done a few apology threads on twitter but ofc, who cares? I could be telling you all this but it really wouldn't matter. I'm just no one on the internet, I really don't expect to be sympathised because i admit this was a really silly thing that could be avoided if I had minded my own business. Nevertheless what happened, has happened.

Then after that my mental health went downhill, but i didn't talk much about it. I have a history of being depressed and having breakdowns but I don't talk about it publicly (?) If I spoke about it it'll just show I'm weak and easily prone to responding to things people say about me. and anyway people would definitely make fun of me if they ever noticed my weakness. But whatever the case, it was still a difficult time for me. I thought about quitting on many occasions but i somehow kept going until now when I decided i don't think i want to do this anymore. I received a dm today about how another thread about me popped one so i decided I'm done.

I'll draw other stuff I'm more passionate in but I don't know if I'll ever draw any TOH stuff.

Again, I don't expect anyone to sympathise with me no matter which side you're on. This isn't a matter of agreeing or believing that I'm in the right. But this is just me telling my side of the situation and whatever was going on with me during that time. I may have been a kid (16) at the time but looking back I feel that it could be prevented.
