"you're so pretty."

the words that your f/o says to you take you by surprise. it's out of the blue, making you nearly jump. when you look back at them, you notice how the adoration in their eyes is overwhelming yet soothing at the same time. "did you hear me?" they start to ask, all the while cupping your face. "you're pretty."

you choke on your words and mutter a small thank you. but it isn't enough for them.

"your nose, your eyes, your lips. they're all so pretty. it's almost unfair how i can spend hours staring at you when there's not enough time in the day for it."

you swat at them with an awkward laugh, and they pursue you. "even your voice is pretty, lemme hear it, please?"

you are sure that today, you were going to die if you heard one more 'pretty' from them…but maybe that wouldn't be a bad way to go.
