@coffin-fiend asked me what drew me to Winston and I thought it was worth an entire post to share. 😖
His looks of course. He's a man of labour and works with his hands. He's wonderfuly built and what can I say he looks good doing that work on the Ecto. I love his mustache and hair, he's the best groomed out of the boys.
Plus that damn smile. It's so contagious and big, he doesn't feel that bashful to show something is pleasing him. It's so charming and imagining him looking at me because I caused that smile makes my knees weak.
I like how grounded he is, in touch with reality and how the world works. I can be an airhead sometimes but I also have seen how evil the world can be. Both of us, myself as a paramedic and personal trauma and him as an ex-marine we'd get each other in a way most wouldn't. Not just because of what we've seen but because we saw it and both knew we had to step up no matter what to help those in need in the face of that. Making other people's suffering, ghost or injury, our personal problem.
I know he's not the most obvious or fan favorite to talk about being autistic/neurodivergent, but he clearly is to me. Helping him accept that helps me accept myself as a seemingly high functioning autistic person. Working together on acceptance and coping feels so right.
Plus you see how patient he is with the other busters. Yeah he will side eye some things they say or do but he accepts and loves them and loves their oddness more than any other "normal" person ever did. He can ground me for normalcy, as much as he can join in on my weirdness and assure me I'm not a burden for unmasking, the opposite in fact.
He may not be be a Peter with his jokes and humor, but when you're listening to him he's very funny and I enjoy his style of humor.
Winston sort of has the best parts of the other three in one; intelligence, charming, and caring. Plus he's strong and ends up with money in the end what can I say 😂
Winston has shown that once something matters to him, it's for life. He never ever let go of what he built with the Busters, elevating it. Being loved by Winston really is going to be like devotion. Him realizing that moment he's in love is going to be when he's alone and enjoying a smoke, he'll take a while to reflect on that but once he accepts that it's just a fact he'll be a content man. Nothing he ever does is half measured so as soon as he decides I'm the one, oh it's forever.
Because of this I also think he's the most romantic or at least in the grand picture he's going to have the most stable romance that comes easy. He's not ashamed or unsure of himself. He's going to put in the work to keep me feeling loved and special. He would be the one to make sure our relationship was the healthiest even a example to the others of how it's done 🥰
