In the game, Viktor Reznov technically groomed Alex Mason, “But Mason isn’t an adult, he cannot get groomed.” This is such a stupid sentence, adults CAN get groomed and it’s so obvious you haven’t done your research by saying they can’t.

Alex Mason faced extreme psychological torment by Nikita Dragovich, Reznov also took advantage of the fact that Mason was brainwashed in order to get his revenge on Dragovich, Steiner and Dragovich for killing Dimitri Petrenko. When Reznov found out Mason was brainwashed, he saw that opportunity and took it. All you rezmason shippers actually need to go, shipping this is just genuinely weird, and before that one person replies with “Shakespeares work is also considered darkshipping.” This rant isn’t about Shakespeare, get a grip and realise that Adbell and Rezmason is weird.

they know there's no way they can legally get married as two men in the 80's but they can sure pretend, and that's good enough for them both. they both wear wedding bands concealed under gloves or on their dogtags, so nobody sees and notices (mason chooses sometimes to wear his on his ring finger as normal, everyone just assumes it's for his wife), and even if someone does, they're too scared to ask.

one morning, after an especially petty argument, they're both in the communal breakroom drinking whatever coffee is left in the machine after it broke with adler and hudson. woods is off to the side trying to punch the broken coffee machine back to life, and mason is complaining to the others about the ol' ball and chain

he says something about his wife making him sleep on the couch last night, and woods stares daggers in his direction, taking a break from his fleeting attempt at reviving the old junk. he barks "maybe the wife didn't like listening to dean martin for hours while you were cooking that disgusting casserole you're always trying to convince people is edible!"

the whole room goes silent as mason looks wide-eyed back at woods, utterly surprised at the whole ordeal; hudson and adler are both right there!
