I made these brushes for CSP a while back, and I've used them a LOT, but I've decided to share the files on my ko-fi. :-)

A while back, I worked at a comic book store five days a week, so I had access to a lot of old Marvel and DC comics. I made these brushes from scanning the comics directly. My brush set has all 64 colors which were possible to print on newspaper at the time.

The names of the brushes are the same names that a colorist would use if they worked for Marvel or DC back in the day. For example, R is 100% red, Y2 is 25% yellow, Y3 B is 50% yellow and 100% blue.

For a long time I told myself I wouldn't share them because I thought I could find more work as a colorist if I had my own tools. Well, I still haven't found much work as a colorist, and I thought it would be nicer to share with other artists.

I have decided that I will be closing this blog soon, namely on September 21st since that's also Devildom Fashion Week Day in the Nightbringer calendar

I'm incredibly thankful to everyone that has been showing their appreciation for my little archiving project here, be it in the form of liking and reblogging, sending me asks or straight up helping me out with the outfits I ended up missing or in other ways (you can check out the incredibly kind people that helped by clicking here btw 💚🩷). As for Project Ruri Tunes, this means the following:

Part 2 (the OC part) will continue as planned except that the 'soft' deadline of July 31st will now become a hard end deadline for September 20th

Part 1 (about putting the cast in OutfitsTM) will be officially over as of this post going live. It hasn't had any participants so far anyway, plus tbh I have neither the time nor the energy to work on it even if I got suggestions now. That being said I can confidently say based on the Satan one I did that it's incredibly fun to make, so if you wish to give it a go yourself, go ahead and do it!!
