if everyone would just reblog fics with one or two kind things like "this was so beautiful to read" or "i liked this a lot" it would be enough.

it's unrealistic to expect people to read every single fic that pops up on dash, but one can share it, so others who were dying to read that exact trope with that character can have it pop up on dash.

You didn't just come to play. Leviathan borrowed your pencil case at RAD and still hadn't returned it. You needed that back, especially because Lucifer was getting sick of you borrowing his pens all the time.

Luckily, you saw the case on his desk. It was off to the side of his monitors, illuminated by his giant fish tank. Leviathan was clearly busy. You walked over and simply picked it up so as not to distract him.

Leviathan jumped. Your movement in his peripheral vision caused him to bang his knees into the table and simultaneously launch himself away from the desk. His chair wheels bumped across the tiled floor as it skidded back. The headphone cord ripped out of his computer, blasting the noise of a monster attack across the entire room that mingled with his shouting. His chair spun in circles so he couldn't see who was intruding until it gradually, slowly came to a stop and Leviathan was left staring at you in slack-jawed shock. His hands were still posed as they were over the keyboard, fingers configured to the number keys that corresponded with various skills.

"I came for my pencil case," you told him, holding it up. It was slightly ajar and a pen almost fell out.

Leviathan was shaking a little. His voice came out weak. "O-o-oh... Oh, o-okay..."

With no food to heal and no attacks lined up, Leviathan's character died. The screen went monochrome. The music faded away.

"I didn't mean to scare you," you said. "Sorry. I knocked. You didn't hear it."
