Clustered Pancakes

Surprisingly, this is the first year in a good number of them where I don't wish to kick the year where it's vulnerable genitals lie.  It wasn't the best or even a great year overall but enough good happened to where I have generally positive feelings about it.  So I figured in what will probably be my last Tumblr post in a long long time I would make myself a list reminder of all the good that happened this year in no particular order. 

Took a comedy sketch writing class

Saw a lot more of my friends and family than I usually do

Was lucky enough to be able to play some beautiful video games many of which sequels in some favorite franchises (Animal Crossing, Pokemon, Bioshock, Phoenix Wright, GTA, Legend Of Zelda, etc.) 

Met my weight loss goal of 100 pounds as of December 7th and lost three more since

Took a class with and met one of my comedy idols, Kevin McDonald 

Finally got the nerve and courage to try stand up comedy and did alright for my first time 

Got invited to write for a local comedy talk show

Started training for a half marathon with my mom 

     Last year I had gone to the doctor's in July and weighed in at 328 pounds.  After years of denial and plain old laziness I decided that August 1st would be the day I would kick it into gear by starting to exercise and eat more than just fast and/or fried foods.  A year later and I can proudly say that I weigh 245 pounds, having lost 83 pounds over that time by completely changing my life style.

     It's been a while since I've made a personal bullet list so I figured what better day than today to do so.  Here's a list of positive things that have happened since then thanks to changing it up:

I am now down to a size XL in shirts, which I haven't been since high school

I can finally comfortably sit in an airplane chair without my love handles taking over the arm rests

I haven't been sick a single day since my birthday in 2012

Got a whole new wardrobe since even some clothes from high school are way too baggy now

While I definitely still get depressed here and there, my overall mood has improved

And screw it, I look damn good, especially compared to last year.
