Annika’s two biggest interests are ancient history and the paranormal. it’s like… symbolic I guess. Two sides of her: the more reasonable and grounded library file clerk vs the curious researcher of otherworldly activity. logic vs imagination WHATEVER you get the point
Before she met kibosh, she didn’t really believe that ghosts existed. But that didn’t make them any less interesting to learn about.
As boring as it sounds, she genuinely likes to organize things. Specifically books and files. It’s most of what she does at both her normal job and spooker image.
Besides thattt… she likes her puter. 90s internet had a few pretty good mysteries, so she was helping out to solve those. I don’t think escape rooms were a big thing until the 2000s but if Deedstown had any I think she would go ham.
for smaller stuff. i’m thinking she could be interested in some book binding or fashion sketching :)) it feels very cute, it feels very her.
Speaking of fashionnn!! I wanna talk about her pink dress because I draw her wearing it all the time.. it’s not even her main outfit 😭 it was a gift from kibosh. she typically wears sweaters and loose cardigans, plus she prefers to cover her legs. Kibosh however……..

now, below is a quick reflection and apology.
i can’t even explain how embarrassed i am because i PROMISED this vine on april 26th and now it’s…… june 19th…… 😬 …… and the more i stare at this vine comp the more disappointing it looks but that’s ultimately up to you guys. criticism is always welcome. so, i’m so sorry that this took so long. i’m sorry in general that i really suck at keeping promises because this is a much larger issue of mine where i keep asking for more time on something, only to never get it done.
ive been getting REALLY lazy with drawing. i dont hate it!! but i cant pick up a pencil like at all, which sucks because i still really want to contribute to this community and im now more worried than ever of disappointing you lovely people. :((
on another note, i have a few posts in progress where it’s just me briefly analyzing diff versions of kibosh throughout the franchise, but that’s kinda boring soo blehhh….
lowkey it’s sort of a bojack horseman scenario in my eyes. in my version (or au idk), stretch, as well as his brothers, didn’t have a great childhood; you can certainly sympathize with him, but that doesn’t excuse his behavior and actions, it just gives background as to why he is the way he is—think of it as “the abused becomes the abuser.” y’know, ive always kinda thought that stretch treated casper so poorly because casper got the childhood (albeit shortened one) that he himself never got and was simply jealous. but again, not excusing his behavior or actions in the slightest. stretch is an asshole through and through; sure, he has his moments, but in the end he’ll always be a dick 👍

I would like to assume that for Casper and his uncles this is an entirely new ballpark for them. One where they’re not gonna make it out for a while.
And though the ghosts have an anticlimactic end of escaping, that same sentiment cannot be said for the next poor soul that enters and see the copied versions of them. All mangled and deranged. But that’s my silly little two cents on the matter 😋
I like to think that the backrooms, while anti-climactic, can still be scary as hell as a ghost, because it is LITERALLY a place built on memories, encountering your own backrooms variant of your haunt would be terrifying.
And as for that, i have a idea for the general fusion of these two worlds before bed.
Still-deaths: Ghost-Shaped entities that seem to be resembling a spirit haunting the real world…still carrying the distortions that a still life would. Also look…transparent, their mushroom like innards are see through.
Still-death casper:….stuck between his cartoony look and his more human look, a warped child, acting how others remember him….
Still-death stretch:…looks more…like his name sake, stretched unfathomably vertically like a bad photoshop edit came to life…hollowed eyes devoid of life, meaning you see through his sights, hunts via touch, hearing, and smell.
Still-death fatso: monstrously exaggerated looks and built like a tank, eyes the smallest part…yet has the best eye sight out of the others, alerts with voice to presence of “food”
Still-death stinkie: a cloud of green putrid mist follows him wherever he goes, ruining the smell sense of his one brothers but also causing those who smell it to cough, alerting stretch, oddly looks like his cartoon ghost form was smooshed forcibly back into the shape of his human one.
ts was supposed to be a whole comic but im too lazy to do more
if anyone gives af ill write out the lore for the ghostly trio’s girls and post about it at some point. ive also been thinking about any kids that the trio ended up having so idk if anyone cares about that too ill start working on it🤤
I was working on expressions & shadows with Casper, but then I just started adding more and more characters in the canvas. I do love how they came out, so I don’t have much else to say about all this! :)
I especially like my ocs Elizabeth and Aria’s expressions. So tearful and full of painful energy

Nah. In the case of Eleanor & Franklin, his mother would have her youngest son be by her side as she got ready for the day. And as expected, Frankie here would take her makeup and attempt to eat it. No success was achieved here, but she found it so funny how determined he was.
