Secret Wars was genuinely unhinged some of the time, huh?

Loving it so far (on issue 11/12), though the story doesn’t really get more complex than smashing action figures together.

This series genuinely made me a fan of Klaw and Molecule Man.

Finally arrived at the debut of The Hobgoblin during my read-through of The Amazing Spider-Man (1963-1998)

He’s been one of my favorite Spider-Man villains since I was first introduced to him in the 90s animated series. I’m super excited to read through this story arc (though I’m already aware of the infamous twist regarding his identity)

I am curious, on the off chance that anyone here was reading these comics in the early 80s, how fans reacted to this new villain.

Half wishing they’d all just died unceremoniously. Damn you Gooseworx for making these characters so lovable!

When a person who was outwardly happy is found committing suicide, cops will say “I don’t think they killed themself because they weren’t sad according to their friends.

They still use fingerprinting as if it were DNA evidence despite there being many cases of false positives.

I listened to one story where they used an eyewitness testimony gathered through Hypnosis in their investigation (hypnosis being literal pseudoscience, you might as well use a psychic medium to ask the victim who killed them)

I’ve seen this comic panel before, but was anyone gonna tell me that the guy Jameson was defending was Hobie Brown?

Or that Hobie Brown was 616’s original Prowler?!
