“Chief Gordon.” He says seeing she wasn’t sure what to call him. “Deputies are my minions.” He jokes. “Oh yes. Please come in.” He said and shut the door behind them. “It really shows a change in character you hearing about what happened and showing up her like this. It’s a good thing.” He says surprised by her. “Aaa No. She’s fine, I’m fine… But then again I think her Nanny could use a break if you’re still up for the job.” Ben wasn’t sure how this would go but it was worth a try and if she messed up in the least she would never get another chance.

He laughs. “My wife killed a woman with a high heel shoe. So no I didn’t I adopted her with a friend of mine.”  He watched this young woman hold Hope but look as tho she was at a loss at what to do. “I’ll think about it. We should… Talk. about how you’re doing.” if she was still doing drugs and prostituting it was a hell no. “Me too.” He smiled down at his baby. “Hey, you’ll get there.” He meant deserving of being with baby Hope again. he could tell she was scared. “It must’ve been hard for you. to do what you done.”

“It’s a necessity to the court that thinks my only relation to her is paper, but if we’re blood that means full custody is mine by law and voids all adoption papers including the ones that I signed with another woman.” He points out as clearly as he could. Ben looks around the room like he was searching for something. “Alright. since I don’t see any garbage cans around.” He hands his beautiful baby Hope to Clover. “Her name is Madeline Hope Gordon.” He says and takes a quiet breath before opening the papers to see that He was indeed Hopes biological father. He looks at hope and then at Clover and Back to hope and he couldn’t help but smile. “My girl.” He says to Hope.

Ben’s eyes widened and he slowly shut the door. “You mean? this can’t be.” Oh but how Ben hoped it was and that the little girl that laid in that nursery was truly his biological daughter. “We get a test. Now.” Ben grabbed his coat and dressed Hope and they left to the hospital and got the test done and were handed an envelope with the results. “No matter what’s on the inside of this envelope. This little girl is mine. Are we clear?”

“So I do know you.” He scans her face in his head to search for memories and ding! there it was his eyes dawned on the truth. “You were a escort.” He swallows remembering that he went to arrest her but she gave him a freebie if he let her off the hook so they slept together and he left her alone. “I’m sorry but I can’t have an escort watching my daughter. I’m glad you’re you are trying to find a new line of work but it’s not here.”

“Great.” Ben smiled and shut the door behind them. “It’s gonna be four days a week from 5 am to 6 pm. and there may be some odd hours or days you’ll have to pull, but as long as you are okay with that then we can get on with the questions.” He sat down and looked at her and thought he knew her not knowing this was Hope’s mother. “You look familiar do I know you? what’s your name?”

“You fuckin’ threw her in a dumpster to die, Clover. At least say you’re sorry!”Crimson held Sally against him with one had and was smoking with the other.
