I feel like no one is pointing out how weird this is enough. Like, you change an entire character because of the person you cast was so sweet and you just couldn't push for that person to be angry? It feels like typecasting sort of, or just not really understanding the acting part of voice acting. Why would you shoot yourself in the foot with your creative choice here?? I'd imagine a good project would push an actor to become the character, not be written around the actor when it comes at the cost of characterization for the main character. A baffling creative choice.

when a va doesn’t fit a character, you ask them to adjust their voice or switch their role (for example stephanie beatriz in encanto; her voice didnt fit luisa, so she was cast as mirabel. they didnt fucking rewrite luisa).

also this is just some bad stereotyping on goose’s part. ‘yeah she’s nice, she can’t ever be an angry person!!’ goose you’re the head writer you’re supposed to understand nuance.

but no this is just a reeeealy bad choice on goose’s part that i’m actually upset about because i wouldve LOVED that for pomni’s character. i wish she was more than just a nice girl or a therapist. but no, the voice actor (whos job is to have a range of voices) she just couldnt see being angry (va isnt the character btw).

You guys need to realize how hard it is to be evil nowadays I do not get enough respect and people constantly tell me I’m not evil like dude l literally am but with all the horrible people out there being evil has such a bad bad reputation but I need to clarify to people that I’m Evil not Evil people would classify my brand of evil as cartoonishly evil which I agree with at times my mentors were all classified as cartoonishly evil and I do share some goals so I get it it’s just hard for people to understand this and it’s really annoying to explain this all I need to be more evil tbh gonna start putting real rocks mixed with chocolate rocks in bowls and put the em on peoples doorways and tell them that all of them are edible and then laugh deviously
