Testing Auto Table Settings Mod and Functional Placemats
EDIT: there's an updated version of the mod in this post
Sharing the files openly, in case I drift away for a while. I fixed and updated almost everything, so if you have them, replace the files.
Testing ⚠ means it's possible that I broke something while changing something else, because I add features as I go and create bugs out of the blue 😏
So, the mod is about hiding/unhiding/changing states of placemats and table deco. There's an adjuster object in general/misc. that lets you change settings, like choose preferred default state, turn off/on, etc. Settings stick to lot, even community.
The mod supports single placemats by Buggybooz, SPXMurray, SimAddict99, LordCrumps. Place them over your dining tables where sims put their plates to eat. Don't place off-grid, quarter tile is fine. The mod will do the rest. Most objects will hide and unhide completely, special objects will change multiple states.
Centerpiece can be almost any object as long as it doesn't block sims' ability to eat at the table and isn't actual food or dish. Decorative food will make sense as hidable and unhidable piece. Place it in center table slot, and the mod will do the rest. I excluded objects in general/misc. from hiding, seeing as they're usually functional hacks.
These placemats have more states than simply hidden and visible and made smaller with 1-tile and round tables in mind. Can't thank @lordcrumps enough for our spontaneous collab on these 🙌
Placemats and auto mod can be used separately. Placemats have their own manual interactions, in case you need to change their states by hand.
