There stood the estate of the Tremaine family, looming in the dark of night, so close yet so far. A dragon of stone, guarding something precious. Something her sisters wished to whisk away, home to Arendelle.
And whatever her sisters wished for, Fly was happy to play fairy godmother to obtain.
Crouched in the bushes near the stables, she thought over her plan. She had convinced Anna and Elsa to let her take the lead in rescuing Eleanor from her home, and bring her to the sisters' waiting carriage just outside the gates of the estate. Her arguments were good, she'd claim β she was smaller than the relatively tall sisters, sneakier from years of living in the woods by herself, magical like Elsa, and, besides, if a child was caught trespassing, she'd be arrested, at worst. But the Queen of Arendelle? The former Queen, as well? Both trespassing onto a distant relative's land? It'd be a scandal!
That last point solidified victory for Fly. And so, there she was, trying to sneak past the horses sniffing at her hair as she made her way to the kitchen's back door. She was cautious to be quiet, but the sisters had told her the property did have a dog ... oh crud, please don't start barking ...
Perhaps ... perhaps she didn't have to approach the kitchen at all, she realized. Quickly, she rummaged in her pockets, pulling out a little seed. Nothing too big, but ... perhaps ... With hope in her little heart, Fly planted the tree into the soft dirt of the basse-cour, and took a step back, closing baby blue eyes and focusing all her power into it. Grow, grow, come on ... !
And with the child's quiet encouragements, the seed grew, taller, stronger, and taller still - until the branches and trunk of the now fully grown tree reached the window of a tower, which Fly was now making her way towards, climbing that tree. Hopefully, the window would be open, and she could sneak in that way ...
