Daughter of the Kingdom Study
(Full View of the Daughter of the Kingdom Outfit)
This is the evolution of the shop outfit, Daughter of the Kingdom, and the reason why I chose this instead of the original is that I tend to not like the silver/white/pale colour palettes that Infold sometimes chooses.
The lighter colours tend to wash out details in outfits, which I think is a shame. If you're going to put that much effort into an outfit then you should be able to see all the details.
However, the other reason why I chose gold is because this outfit is clearly inspired by the Art Nouveau style, which traditionally if there are women drawn, they are often in gold or rich colours.
There is so much detail in this outfit, a lot of climbing vines that this may be an outfit that would benefit from a re-dye. I'm thinking having the body of the outfit a light colour but keeping the details in a darker colour.
Look at these roses and vines and details, it is a shame that it's all momochrome colour.
Just so much detail in this.
I put Nikki into a little black dress because I had trouble telling apart what was an accessory and what was part of the dress.
And seeing this tells me a bit about how Infold designs their outfits. For those who aren't aware, the higher star level an outfit has the more parts it generally has. I think they tend to just design their outfits and then choose after the fact which pieces are melded together into a single piece.
Like this outfit does not have a bracelet or a ring, despite what you see in the picture, this is all one object, the gloves.
Now, I can't remember if the choker and the necklace are two separate pieces, but the flower that looks like it should be a chest pin belong with the necklace and isn't a separate item.
Conversely, and for some reason I didn't keep these pictures, the hair decorations come in two pieces, the headband and the side flowers, which does give it more versatility, but it's interesting they chose to do that.
By the way, the other reason why I had to put Nikki into a short black dress is because you can't see the shoes in the original dress. A fact that is a crime because these shoes are fucking adorable.
They also make very good forest themed shoes as they're using oak leaves as decoration. An odd choice now that I'm thinking about it, because this is the only place these leaves show up on, but anyways. I think if you coloured them brown they would make great nature themed shoes.
A part of me wants to say this is a hair style that exists using a prayer and a lot of hairspray, but it might be possible, with a lot of hairspray. I actually want to redye this hair now that I'm looking at it.
It would make a great no-nonsense hair style without putting the hair up into a bun.
At some point I'd like to go back to Timmies make up factory to take picture, but maybe something in a purple or green? Maybe green.
