SHOTS

ďźăHe doesnât get a text backâdisappointing, but not unexpected. Heâll have plenty of time to talk shit in person, even if this way he was far more likely to end up with a broken jaw. A trade-off he was willing to take.
His boots hit the pavement with a quiet clack, and he lands in a crouched position with a quick glance behind him; heâd left the kitten back at his assigned housing and made sure she wouldnât be able to follow him here, but just to make sure.Â
The only people he sees around seem to be people who work in the building. Thereâs one person on the corner, on the other side of the parking lot, smoking a cigarette and giving them both a wary side-eye - Zaveid gives them a wink and they turn and scurry to the other side of the building fairly quickly.
Eizenâs already here, poised and ready it seems. Zaveid pretends to be offended at the skirt chaser comment, standing up to clutch his chest and pout in the other seraphâs direction.
âHey now, you know I wouldnât leave you hanginâ unless I had a good reason!â Or maybe he didnât. âBesides, Iâd never pass up a chance to see that cute frown on your face.âÂ
He cracks a grin as he pulls out his pendulums, swinging one absently.Â
âSo, fight first, or talk first? Or both? I can always go for both.â
Same as usual, Eizenâs eyes latch onto the pendulums as soon as he takes them out. He very much remembered what it felt like to get hit by them, artes or not accompanying. A slow rise back to the Malakhim himself though.
He WAS in fact frowning. He also HIGHLY DOUBTED it was cute at all. Although based on the otherâs actions he did seem to enjoy seeing this face rather often.
âA good reason, huh?â Eizen stands at his full height, staring Zavied down. âIâd like to hear it.â He can feel his jaw clench a little tightly he tries to force it to relax- he wasnât going to let the anger get the better of him right now. He did indeed what to hear what Zaviedâs reasons were. âEven if Edna hadnât been in danger . . . Or if I had been completely alone in isolated, a danger to no one.â
He stomps his left foot down, kicking up dust around him- heâs turned slightly to the side, concealing his other hand- his usual fighting stance. He means business.
âIâd like to hear this great reason for leaving me âhangingâ. You had a knack of always just showing up at the right time while I traveled with the others. You were always there to help us.â
A flick of his left hand and a bracelet slides out onto his wrist. He finally looks away from Zavied, just for a moment.
âSo where were you, when it came time to keep that promise.â
