ways of going home

A couple weeks before the end of my exchange program in Berkeley, I borrowed “Ways of going home”, by the Chilean author Alejandro Zambra, from the library. I would bring it along with me everywhere: classes, cafes, meetings. And I remember reading it while in commute from San Francisco to Berkeley and thinking how funny it was that I was reading a book named “Ways of going home” while going home, in Berkeley, and just a few days before going back to my actual home, in Brazil. These are from my last Berkeley roll of film. I like to think that they’re my own way of coming back home.
