January 10th, 1820 â A New Decade Begins
As we approach both a new year and a deeply personal anniversary â 27 years of marriage â memories resurface. I was but 16 at the time, full of uncertainty about the future, while Xavier stood beside me: so simple, yet so and patriotic .
But now, in this age of political uncertainty under the Second Restoration, it is time we introduce ourselves properly: Xavier and Sylvie Audouin.
I have been a little unwell lately, but we hope I will soon recover. We are planning a trip to Thin-le-Moutier just as we do each year to visit my dear father, who longs to see his grandchildren: Maurice, LĂ©onard, and Alexandrine-Elisa. Little FĂ©licitĂ© remains with her grandfather, who adores her â though we are worried about her health.
Weâve endured many personal trials recently, including the passing of my grandmother â expected, perhaps, at her advanced age, but painful nonetheless . We also mourn the recent death of our dear friend Gaspard Monge, whose wisdom and kindness I greatly cherished, even when our political beliefs clashed. He was a remarkable man.
I remain proud to have once been a HĂ©bertist and to have the honor of a civic crown. I owe so much to my father, Jean-Nicolas Pache â former Minister of War and Mayor of Paris â a man of pure integrity who gave me a political conscience and connected me with key revolutionary figures. I am comforted to know he is finally at peace which was difficult with this horrible period when the patriots were persecuted with the return of the king, as well as the foreign troops occupying our poor homeland
I have stood by my husband through his early days at the Ministry of War, through his opposition to the Directory, and now as a royal advocate. Though I see him ideologically weary since the Empire, his moral compass remains unwavering. His efforts toward administrative reform and his stance against capital punishment for political crimes show that his fight continues.
Yet, I hope my brother â who now scorns our father due to his newfound royalist fervor and flaunts the title gifted to him by Bonaparte â will find it in his heart to reconcile with us. His behavior is shameful, and he neglects our ailing father. But he is still my little brother and I hope than one day we will be a family again.
Ah, my beloved wife exaggerates â I havenât lost my fire! Iâve merely been worn down by endless political battles. Still, I fought to rehabilitate our fellow revolutionaries under the Empire. And, by earning the favor of some royalist circles, I managed to protect my esteemed father-in-law from certain dangers â he glances at Sylvie, who clearly disapproves of this alliance with Louis XVIII.
Yet, I will never renounce my revolutionary past.
As a former revolutionary journalist, member of the Section Grenelle during the storming of the Tuileries, Secretary-General of the Ministry of War, deputy to Bouchotte, Neo-Jacobin under the Directory , a judge at the Court of Cassation, and historiographer at the War Depot under Bonaparte (though I had some regard for his brother Joseph Bonaparte, whom I met during my mission to the Convention , I don't like much NapolĂ©on) â I now serve as a royal court advocate, author, and unyielding witness to our era.
Ask us anything â even about our imprisonment from May 10th, 1794 to October 26th, 1795 â a trial we endured together. But feel free to send joyful questions too; we crave light as much as truth.
đ Those weâve worked with â and often clashed with some of them â include:
CPS Members: @claude-antoine-prieur (âĄ), @louis-antoine-leon-saint-just, @heraultsechelles, @tribundupeuple, @thespianprosecutings, @aristidecouthon, @anacreon-de-la-revolution
Other citizens: @bonbonrobespierre (Augustin Robespierre), @philippe-francois-joseph-le-bas (Philippe Le Bas), @ange-noir-de-corse (Napoleon Bonaparte), @tribunbabeuf (Gracchus Babeuf), @antoinemomoro (Antoine Momoro)
From the Court of Louis XVIII: @templesorphan (Madame Royale) â whom I occasionally glimpse in court even if she clearly dislike the revolutionaries like us ( euphemism) but I don't care @monsieurdetalleyrand â alas, to my great displeasure. Luckily I don't have to put up with his company (Fortunately)
With hearts still loyal to liberty, and memories as sharp as ever,

OOC: This a RPG about Xavier and Sylvie Audouin. I've already made posts about them, even though they are sometimes mysterious, and there may be historical errors (plus if I was always uncomfortable with the idea that Sylvie got married so young, even if it's a different era, I admit). Also, please keep in mind that these are not necessarily my political opinions and that this RPG is intended for fun above all ask what you want :)
