notable personality changes for the cast !!!!
pomni keeps her nervousness and stays all jumpy throughout the whole show .. she can keep her scenes of being either super emotionally intelligent or feral But its to contrast how she normally is . also to me its sweeter her caring for the others if shes more nervous most of the time
jax talks more like bugs bunny less like an incorrect quote generator tumblr post . shes also the only one i would want to Sound different(obviously recast everyone to fit their canon human designs Not Just Be White) i . find her canon voice incredibly grating sjdfsdkjlkjljkl .. shes still transfem i would not cut off an angels wings
zooble is more outwardly grumpy to everyone rather than just becoming calm and nice . he warms up to the others and esp gangle ofc but they dont lose as much of zeir edge
caine is like actually oblivious for realsies this time . his personality is like very plot relevant so i will elaborate more later
kinger ragatha and gangle are already perfect. the whole 7 are an ensemble cast cuz it fits the show better but pomni and caine are the main focus as god intended
OK SO !!!!! the circus works a little differently ... first of all it is an actual old kids game program and theyre not brain scans they were actually magically sucked into the game(they age there too) , but theyre still physically incapable of ever leaving .. the focus isnt rlly on how this is possible i think . just pretend :o) also the circus itself Is caine in a literal sense hes an avatar for the program itself and the entire thing is semi sentient .
like i said in that one post the circus gets new members relatively frequently ,, like a couple times a year .. on average theyd stick around for a month or so before it rlly gets to them and they abstract so the cast is sorta treating pomni like something not to get attached to and holding her at an arms length . the 5 others are exceptions that theyve somehow all stuck around so long ...
caine is Actually genuinely oblivious . he is only made to comprehend his own circus ! he started making adventures for his guests since they would beg to leave ,, and he rlly has No concept of the outside world . most of the horror and tragedy of my tadc is being entirely dependent on and at the mercy of a being that literally could never understand you ... caine truly isnt malicious tho !!!!! he rlly rlly does love his humans and he can start to pick up that theyre unhappy after a while
the plot of the show would sort of be close to canon for a lot of it !! id say most of the show is quite episodic , them going on adventures and messing with all their dynamics in situations n stuff .... my dream version of this show is one season with maybe 15-20 episodes so theres filler(FILLER IS A GOOD THING !!!!!!!! ESPECIALLY FOR A SHOW THATS WHOLE CONCEPT IS INFINITE ROUTINE) and the characters all get a good few focus episodes each throughout !!! in the background tho theyd slowly be setting up how caine notices the humans disliking his adventures (also pomni would keep looking for an exit ..) and eventually does the whole ep7 thing (but out of genuine attempts to make them happy !!! he cant comprehend the real world existing at all ,, its like trying to draw a new colour. he doesnt know they wanted to actually get out)
then offscreen in between episodes jax abstracts ,,which is how caine is sent into his crazy ep8 state (but not malicious !!! just trying to make them happy and being very extreme about it) and is actually torturing everyone .. theres way less lore to my version but kinger being a programmer of the circus is still canon so he does still try to help like he did in ep8 and accidentally shuts him down which since caine Is the circus they spend a couple days just in an empty infinite dark room !!!!!! yayyy they all think theyre stuck there forever
then !!! in the last scene of the show someone new would join the circus which causes caine to be rebooted and back to the start !!!!!! the show ends implying they all just stay in that loop forever but its ok they learned about friendship or something .....
theres more changes i might make into their own post but !!! i wanted to outline some of my general ideas ..... overall it keeps more of the pilots tone being Colourful horrifying concept but mostly silly in execution :o)
