This is my vampire OC!! She originally started out as a summer project last year, but I had a drawing challenge with my friends that provided me an opportunity to give her more outfits and flesh out her backstory.
Backstory: Arabella bathory originally lived in the Regency era where she was promised to marry a man. Before they were married he decided to take her innocence thus making her useless and unwanted in society. Cast out from her family she wanted into the slums where she encountered a starving vampire. The vampire desperate for blood decided to feed on Arabella until she died, in an attempt to escape she bit the vampire consuming some of his blood in the process. Since she consumed some of his blood and the vampire consumed hers she to became one. The next morning she found out she could not walk in the Sun and she figured out what happened to her. So once night came she hunted down the vampire who turned her and killed him. Killing the vampire that turned her gave her the power to walk in the sunlight, and with that power she decided to hunt down the man that took her innocence and get revenge for forcing her to live a life shunned from society.
For the next 100 years or so she hunts down the entire family. Until there is no one left. When she's finished she realizes she has nothing left to live for in her immortal Life. After wandering aimlessly she decides to help people who might be in a similar situation and as she was once in. So she sneaks into modern day parties and hunts down those wanting to hurt people in ways she was hurt. (She really likes going to Halloween parties to blend in better)
Her different outfits represent the different stages of her life. Her white Regency gown represents her young self who didn't have any blood on her hands. In the Victorian era her gown is red and white showing how she is transitioning into a creature of destruction. And the last outfit is her in the modern world, and although she mostly wears black and red to show how many lives she took she still smiles, because now she's a vigilante trying to fight for what she thinks is right.
