in general, my 2¢ on boruto ships:

i’m like 90% sure borusara are endgame, so there’s that. I don’t really like the ship bc i feel it’s reductive to sarada and simultaneously has little to no impact on boruto’s character. As many canon naruto ships tend to be, for their respective female and male counterparts. Plus no offence brsr fans… but the shippers are a bit annoying. Why are you always freaking out. Stop attacking people that ship borusumi and complaining their ship isn’t canon. That’s just shitty fandom etiquette. Also people calling it the straight version of sns don’t make sense to me, but I guess they’re similar in that I don’t really ship either of them lol

speaking of borusumi, it’s… fine? Ig??? It comes off as rather boring to me but it’s okay. Sumire doesn’t impact boruto much I feel

in general I’m not much of a shipper and boruto’s going through it lmaoo. that boy doesn't need a relationship, he needs to get off the battlefield and be reunited with his family.

borumitsu/mitsuboru is cute! i find them very wholesome in nng and i think they help each other grow. And the angst potential of omnipotence for them? Lovely. Although mitsuki has been getting hella sidelined in tbv as of late :(( poor bby

borushika/shikaboru is similarly nice. two smart people that can both act dumb asf. Childhood friends —> enemies is a fun dynamic. Shikadai was definitely boruto’s closest friend when he was a kid, so i’d argue he knows the core of his character best. Plus him saying hinata asked him to look out for boruto is really cute to me. They’re like two puppies holding each other’s leashes.

who else is he even shipped with? Kawaki ig? They’re really dramatic together so I get it. I mean I see them more as brothers, but they weren’t raised as family, so it’s more of a blood/sworn brothers-esque situation in canon. It’s not terrible if someone ships it: no crazy age gap, not related, they’re actually on fairly equal standing power-wise… I don’t think it’s morally reprehensible. I’ve seen worse.

uhhh not a boruto x someone ship but kawaeida’s interesting to see. It’s toxic on both sides but it’s not presented as otherwise (eida is clearly infatuated with kawaki beyond reason and kawaki has made it clear that he doesn’t care for her) and it has actually impacted the plot. So yeah.

um inohima is there but I lowk don’t care enough to talk about it.
