This story would start just as it does in Demo/Chapter 3.

After touching the Ghostwalker... the blade deems you impure.

After collapsing to the ground... You wake up in a bed within a basic looking home.

That's when you see him... Builderman?

Builderman just smiles when you wake up, greeting you with a smile.

It seems so innocent when he helps you up and offers to help you cleanse your soul.

After all, you both want to leave this place... don't you?

So Builderman accompanies you outside... the landscape is eerie as you traverse this 'Dream World'.

It's a place that reflects your soul... a place where your emotions run rampant...

Builderman says the only way to leave is to purge.

You begrudgingly listen, after all, aren't you saving Builderman?

Wasn't that the point of all this?

You end up fumbling your way through a maze of golden hands to challenge your Greed...

You walk through the waters of your self-loathing to challenge your Isolation...

Then you walk through the horrid landscapes of your subconscious, pulling back purple trees to confront your Fear.

Builderman is with you the whole time, encouraging you with sweet words.

Yet after each battle, each encounter with something that once made up you...

You feel weaker.

Builderman acts like he cares, holding you close as you make your way through your 'Dream World'.

However... you keep catching strange red glints in the eyes of the builder you once looked up to and cherished.

Something feels wrong...

But you have no choice but to press on.

Once you manage to bring down Fear... Builderman congratulates you.

He's smiling down at you... even as you collapse to your knees.

He then pouts, asking what's wrong...

Are you too vulnerable?

Aren't you too gullible?

Don't you know you were merely being used by the most vicious part of yourself.

Doesn't it hurt?

It's then a violent rush of red that blinds your vision.

Builderman, the very same one you trusted, wasn't himself anymore.

Towering over you stands a red creature, one bristling with sadistic anger....

Your soul isn't pure yet, far from it.

Hatred stands before you, a tall, slender, feline-like creature that stares down at you with unseen eyes.

The long tail thrashes behind him as he stares you down.

Hatred is amused by your struggle.

You have given him life, created him, yet he is so eager to prove he's superior.

You were puppeted, fooled by him simply changing his appearance to someone you adored.

Now it's just you and him in this 'Dream World'... and he doesn't plan on letting his creator leave.

Hatred isn't an easy foe to subdue.

He's the embodiment of your violence, he's the hate you feel for being stuck in such a situation.

You never wanted to collect swords, you never wanted to be taken from the future and shoved into the past.

Don't you feel it? The hate?

Aren't you tired of running errands for everyone else?

Wouldn't you rather stay here... where you can feed and nurture the beast you've created?

Hatred starts sadistic towards you.

Every attempt at fighting him lands you back in the house you woke up in.

Hatred always waits for you to return, eager to play all over again.

He taunts you, screams you can't defeat him.

Hatred will always be a part of you... you will always surrender to his call....

Hatred is pleased you got rid of the others... the blood red emotion never liked to share.

Now he has a hold of your heart and soul, all you'll ever feel is him.

He manipulates and taunts you, claiming that you'll always belong to him.

Yet, as Demo 3 goes... you'll eventually memorize the pattern of Hatred's attacks... and subdue the growing hate inside you.

The beast squeals like he's having a tantrum, laying on the ground on all fours as his tail flicks.

You can feel him glare at you as he spits that you can't get rid of him.

You're HIS!

He's YOURS!

You two are one and the same... two halves of a whole...

Everything that is the both of you belongs to each other....

You... can't deny such a thought.

This slender red beast... He's you. Part of you.

... so you accept such a thought... you've beaten Hatred... severed the beast's grip on your heart and soul... however...

You acknowledge that you can use your Hatred.

This is a creature given form by you... You begin to accept it's a part of yourself...

But you don't let the feral beast control you.

Hatred sneers with a disgruntled growl, the beast melting into a puddle of red.

... Yet a singular Card bubbles up from the putrid red mess, as if in response to your acceptance...

'Call: Hatred'

With hesitancy... you pocket the Card.

The item pulses a deep red, as though it beats with a heart beat matching your own.

When you leave the 'Dream World'... You're still able to wield the Ghostwalker blade.

Your soul itself has been purified now that you've chosen to weaponize your negativity for a positive cause.

With this Card you are allowed to summon Hatred into the real world to aid you.

The beast still enjoys teasing and taunting you... he's still sadistic... yet you have a lead on the beast now.

Hatred, in battle, tends to stay in his base form.

It's his strongest form, the air warping around him when summoned, the beast's form a static filled mess as he roars.

He acknowledges you are stronger... and the beast listens to your command.

After all, he still needs to protect you...

Without you... He would no longer exist whole.

Hatred is definitely the type to lick your wounds too.

He loves the taste of your blood, lapping at it cheekily no matter what form he's in.

I do believe Hatred tends to use his disguised form to speak with you casually.

Hatred often tries to gain your attention by slipping back into the Builderman persona, except he makes sure to show the differences this time.

He looks like Builderman... except for the red horns and tail that peak out.

He'll try to appeal to you... all while mimicking a southern drawl as he leans against you.

He's cocky and teasing, clinging to you as his tail wags.

The beast preens when you cup his cheek or hold him close, often acting like a smug cat at your acceptance.

Hatred knows you can't fully get rid of him... yet he doesn't care if you've forced him to his knees and leashed him under your command...

That just means you also acknowledge you belong to him.

Hatred is, of course, possessive.

He's a manifestation of anger, jealousy, envy, etc...

To him, love is owning you.

You are his by birthright.

He's always been part of you...

It's just now you've finally learned how to draw him out.

In private, or whenever you teleport back to the 'Dream World', Hatred may use his base form around you outside of combat.

He usually uses the Builderman form to appeal to you more... it's easier to cuddle... and scares your companions less.

But in the 'Dream World'... Hatred swaps to his base form to curl around you.

In either form their tail curls around you like a possessive coil as he clings to you in a cuddle.

He rambles about how smug he is that no one has a close connection like you do to him.

After all, he's part of you.

He knows everything about you.

Like a demonic cat... Hatred purrs.

As he rubs his head against you, nuzzling and biting at your skin to mark, he growls out low purrs.

The love Hatred feels for you can be romantic or platonic, either one works.

Hatred doesn't care as long as it means he owns you... and you own him.

Hatred, once you defeat him, grows to respect his obsession and their strength.

Your strength increasing makes him stronger in turn... further proving that Hatred is simply a manifestation of your soul.

Hatred's heart beat is also always synced with your own.

You can even feel it beat within his Call Card.

Not only that... but the Card nearly vibrates whenever you're feeling frustrated... as though itching to be used.

Hatred would be violent or malicious towards those he deems too close to you.

The beast practically thrives off possessive feelings.

This leads to you no doubt trying your best to control Hatred when he gets jealous.

Ugh... you can feel him... the jealousy and bloodlust pulses through your own veins whenever Hatred is active.

You usually have to recall Hatred back to the 'Dream World', much to his displeasure.

In battle Hatred may even give you an attack buff, the rage he feels shared with you.

Unfortunately the care you feel for others isn't always enough to curb Hatred's jealousy.

As Builderman he clings to you, tail around you as he growls towards others around you, like Griefer, Cruel King, or Calypso... whom are also Call Card Allies.

It's even worse when he's in his base form.

Now he's a tall beast, hissing and brimming with anger at the thought of your heart belonging to any other.

HE was born from YOUR heart.

HE'S your DESIRE given FORM.

How could anyone else be worthy of you!?

You can feel the jealousy... the envy... it's almost nauseating...

Yet if you soothe him and yourself... Hatred may back down.

Hatred wants you to love him, to accept that you are one.

He allows you to leash him... to command him... to make him yours...

In return... he asks you to never let him go, he's literally your soulmate...
