so the older woman’s diegetic comedy is supposed to be nothingburger and de-clawed so you’re not supposed to laugh at that. and the newbie’s diegetic work is supposed to be ridiculous (bad way) libshart nonsense, and the dynamic of these two people together is… mundane? there are better comedies and dramas out there and far more titillating premises.
