That pride month controversy is why I decided to start watching the show anyways cuz I had heard it was a good show. Plus it’s got lots of queer representation even if it did essentially lead to its cancellation. A lot of characters are already queer af. Anyways…I don’t know anything else other than this so no spoilers!

Rose said she would “stay” and fight. So Garnet, Pearl, and Rose might have been the expedition team to see if the planet is suitable. Because that word choice implies they were going to leave by default. They decided the earth was not suitable because it has life on it. And Palpatine said “…and?” And went ahead with the project. “Return to base or else”. The pro-earth squad stood their ground and there was a civil war.

Also Pearl is a freakin gun nut basically. The way she just nerds out about battles and kind of looks at it in a detached way.

So the home world thought there are no more gems on earth which is probably why the home world is trying to restart the colonization. It also was implied that the homeowners expects humans to have died off by now (and been replaced with Stevens lol)

Also it seems Crystal Gems is a name they gave themselves to distinguish themselves from “gems”. Like a party affiliation? And I suppose that Pearl and them must care about earth after all then…? Even though Pearl in particular seems to look down on humans. I guess she could still view protecting earth as reluctantly taking care of toddlers…

Who is Peridot going to tattle to?! This is going to be bad. They’ll probably come back with more reinforcements or something.

We also now know that the gem war or whatever happened 6000 years ago.

I think the civil war theory is also all but proven at this point.

Still haven’t forgotten about Lapis and wondering if she’s gotten to the home world yet.

I also still can’t believe that our main trio are the only “pro human” gems. There must be others on other worlds who have life. They’re probably the only 3 on planet earth tho. But it’s hard to believe that only three people in an entire population have an opinion like this.

All of this stuff is going to cause a second civil war. We will see the other protectors of life eventually I think.

Ahhh so a love triangle. Amethyst liked Greg but Greg liked Rose? I wonder how Greg even met either of them in the first place.

But what were the gems doing?! Trying to destroy the galaxy warp panel permanently to prevent home world from ever invading. Using a shooting star that is extremely risky?! Where did they even get a shooting star from?!

Some gem overlords want to mine earth to oblivion to make more gems. And some gems like Garnet and Pearl and Rose disagreed with this because the world had life on it.

And at some point in time Garnet and Pearl must have found Amethyst.

And Peridot and maybe Lapis are colonialists?

So who is the Emperor Palpatine in this establishment?

I was going to say that Steven developed agoraphobia or became a hypochondriac but neither of those definitions technically fit. I think real bad general anxiety fits tho heh.

I wonder what ramifications this new info has for past episodes now. If it explains something serendipitous before. But nothing comes to mind necessarily.

Garnet gave Steven the benefit of the doubt about the portals while Pearl was so dead set that Steven was wrong. I suppose her future vision could have been at play.

My theory right now is that Peridot basically came to supervise how…something…is going. But idk what. Whether earth is ready for harvest? Whether the three gems are doing their jobs? What are their jobs then? Because I think the theme song is a lie if not just actually propaganda. The conspiracy guy was probably onto something.

I did theorize a war of some kind. Maybe the trio are fugitives. Pearl does seem to be a bit of a nationalist and supremacist though. Why would she leave with an ideology like that?

Lapis could not have gotten back to the home world yet based on Pearl’s rocket science. So Lapis couldn’t have tattled.

What if the whole world is fake. 0_0. Where are all the summer break folks people keep talking about? The whole world is an egg for Steven.

Even amethyst who finds arguments and drama entertaining seemed genuinely scared.

Peridot was going to mention reactivating something before being interrupted by a bug. She was going to repair all of them probably but then deactivated all the bugs when she left. She changed her mind when she realized someone has been there before. But why?!
