Poorly summarising the Assassin's Creed novels that I've read so far:

AC Renaissance: Local Florentian goes on his way to stop an evil conspiracy that left his dad (and his brothers) hanging. Also, the prophecy foretolds that someone will open a magic door.

AC Brotherhood: Local Florentian, now a middle-aged gay man, singlehandedly ruined a haughty sister-kisser's career while getting the good guy clan back together.

AC The Secret Crusade: This is the story of a man named after an eagle who learned how Assassin's Creed works as he goes through trial and tribulations along his way... as told by the Polo brothers.

AC Revelations: Local Florentian, now old and bearded, goes on a vacation while obtaining some magical CDs to gain access to the library while caught in the middle of a royal family soap opera drama.
