For a while, nothing asks for her attention.

She sits by the window.

A book is open. A cup of coffee beside it.

Her phone vibrates once on the table.

The screen lights up for a moment.

She doesn’t look.

Outside, a small yellow bird stands on a thin branch.

The branch moves slightly.

The bird stays.

Living Under Someone Else's Noise

You don't argue. You don't knock on the ceiling.

You sit still. You call it peace.

The glass knows the truth.

He is moving. Nothing is pushing him.

And for now, that is enough.

Just Driving

The road bends.

It isn't steep.

It continues.

The car is small on the road.

There is a lot of sky.

No one is honking.

No notifications.

No numbers counting down.

The engine hums softly.

A steady sound.

Almost like breathing.

He is not late.

He is not early.

There is no one waiting at the end of this road.

The buildings fade behind him.

They don't disappear.

They just become lighter.

The road doesn't ask where he's going.

It doesn't hurry him.

It doesn't measure his speed.

He keeps his hands on the wheel.

Not tight.

Not loose.

Just there.

The sky is wide.

The road keeps going.

He is moving.

Nothing is pushing him.
