One, it is known that Latino isn't a race, never has been. We've been mixed race since colonization. For her to say "I'm a little German!" or "I have some Italian on my dads side." isn't surprising. Especially since she is Venezuelan, Venezuela isn't far from Argentina, a country known for it's high Italian population, also a country that many German sought out during and after WWII. Two, many (and I mean MANY) Latin artist/actors were born in the U.S, artist that are considered monumental figures in their respective genres. Examples, Marc Anthony, Romeo Santos, Pitbull, etc. To my knowledge these artist have never had their latin heritage negated from them just for being born in the states. ...and on the topic on her not looking "latina" enough. The whole idea of looking "latina/o" is built in racism, like I said we are not one race, there is no one way of looking latina.
