maybe it’s because i’m only a little over 10 minutes into chapter 5 and haven’t been through the entire game yet but i feel like hajime and nagito had better ship material than them, BYAKUYA AND MAKOTO have better ship material than them 😭

i swear i’m not even trying to hate (this time) but i genuinely can’t think of anything he did to serve the plot other than to make homelander realize v1 makes you immune to the virus, give the v1 to homelander and promote his spin off (while actively retconning his character to do it) that i personally could not care less about

one of the main issues homelanders had with himself is that even though he’s the most powerful he still ages like any other person, wouldn’t that have been motivation enough to want to seek out the v1?

if gets his hands on the v1, he’ll be immortal, and being immortal means nothing can kill you, including the virus. he didn’t need soldier boy to figure that out 😭😭

like for example, how he would interact with other kids his age. in season 4 the social and LITERAL power he had compared to every other kid his age would’ve had to have affected his ability to make friends in some way. maybe some kids feared him because of how powerful he was and how little control he had over it, maybe some kids only liked him because he’s homelanders son and thought that being friends with him would make them popular, maybe some kids secretly or openly hated him for how “good” he has it, which is far from the truth (and that would open the door for a lot of insight on homelanders abuse towards ryan cuz for some reason people think he’s a good father lmao)

it honestly would’ve made a lot of sense for his character and his eventual friendship with zoe a lot more interesting

if ryan DOES survive this last season of the boys how are they going to end his character 😭 i’m already fully confident that he’s gonna be those characters that break the cycle of abuse, but where that’ll leave him at the END, he could go in literally any direction
