I’ve always been intrigued by Luxord so when the teaser trailer revealed him, I was so excited to see him again. However, I noticed that the buttons on his jacket have detailing of a bird.

I thought it was interesting but I’ve never associated him with birds before, and ultimately didn’t think much of it. Yet, when I was talking to my lovely friend, @awerhearts, they suggested I take another look at them.

So, after taking a second look, one question came to mind: could there be a link between Luxord and birds?

After that, I turned to Google to see if I could find anything and while doing that Mirth said that to them, the bird looks like a phoenix. Now we don’t quite know if this bird truly is meant to be a phoenix or not but I did find something about how phoenixes are a symbol of ultimate destiny which works perfectly for a man titled “The Gambler of Fate.”

Additionally, the phoenix has become a symbol of other things such as:

Furthermore, @teaandfics had mentioned to me that “The Holy Spirit is also sometimes referred to and/or depicted in the form of a bird/fire/fire bird.”

When I was scrolling on Tumblr and looking at the many posts about the KH4 Teaser Trailer, I noticed something I had never had before on the coat of the hooded girl in the beginning.

The buttons…there’s a symbol on them.

Due to it being hard to make out, and from an educated guess, I thought it was a fleur de lis. It was a symbol that has appeared often in this franchise, especially in Khux. It made the most sense to me but for some reason, I wasn’t convinced I was right. So, I decided to go back to the teaser trailer and take a closer look myself.

I got a screenshot and traced the shape the best I could and got this:

While it is a very crude attempt, it proved me right. This isn’t a fleur-de-lis, yet it looks similar to one. Why is that?

In my “quest” to figure out what this actually is, I went to Google and searched for cross symbols to see if I could find a match. After comparing several I’ve narrowed it down to none other than a Cross Fleury.

Now what exactly is a Cross Fleury?

Quite interesting, right? However, that’s not all, after viewing an article from Ecclesiastical Sewing, I’ve discovered this:

French Kings who saw themselves as the principal defenders of faith…hmm, doesn’t this remind anyone of the Master of Masters?

I never realized it before, but we’ve seen this symbol clearly before on the Master’s own coat in KH3.

I asked a good friend of mine, @teaandfics (they’re amazing <3) what they think, and this is what they had to say, “I could definitely see it since the coats are meant to ward off darkness…Being imbedded with subtle elements of light (so to speak) would be fitting.”

FINALLY HE’S BACK!!!!

I’ve seen people claim Saix’s jealousy didn’t make sense and was randomly thrown in, but please allow me to set the stage for something very important. Saix claimed he was jealous of Axel making other friends and felt abandoned by Axel, but here’s the thing: if you imagine this from Saix’s perspective, it makes sense.

All the things Axel did with Xion and Roxas were all the things they used to do together when they were younger. The biggest thing was eating sea salt ice cream while watching the sunset back in Radient Garden. Now, Saix has a lot of problems and that effects his friendship with Axel as it grew more unhealthy over time. That is something I will never deny. However, I won’t ignore the feeling of one of the things from your life before that was special between you and your best friend are no longer just yours AND no longer includes you is heartbreaking.

Axel, no, Lea is the light in Saix’s life and his reason for living and with that loss of light, their closeness to each other, the disparity of it took over (he was also norted to but thats a completely different story for now). He felt nothing because he felt like there was no reason to do so anymore.

He couldn’t find Subject χ and he couldn’t keep his best friend, so seeing Axel show so much care for Roxas and Xion infuriated him. Furthermore, we know Isa isn’t the possessive type since he has no problems with Lea befriending Ventus in Birth by Sleep. He was more focused on breaking into the castle and teased Lea at most for always trying to make friends, but Saix is not Isa.
