thoughts & dots excerpts from a mind. sense and remember. one of the things that i always read from things about helping with anxiety and depersonalization is focusing on sense. sense, a highly overlooked ability due to its subconscious matter. you tend to remember things more when you focus on the sense. i'll always remember the way those green eyes shined in the darkness of that room; they shined with the same brightness of the sliver of light the window allows. i'll remember your heart beating and the way it sounded and how strange it felt to feel another heart beat. i'll remember the way you kissed me and how there was nothing more to it than a dare. i'll remember how you smell of laundry detergent and home. i'll remember how it feels to have your dreams in reach and how hope was achievable. and i can guarantee that i'll remember how your laugh sounds; that stupidly cute laugh. i'll remember how your freckles fit your face like constellations. i can guarantee that i'll remember how you softly, yet abruptly grabbed my hand and pulled me closer to that piano bench. i'll remember how you didn't let go and i'll remember why you won't want to let go. i'll remember how the sweet victory over my own life tasted and i'll remember how it tasted to be pushed back into the ground. i'll remember how silver tastes and how music looks and how it feels to take note of what being in a car sounds like. i'll remember how anxiety turned into home and ill remember how anxiety turned into truth. i'll remember a lot. remember that.
